Abstract: Terminal using intelligent analysis for decreasing playback time of video. The terminal includes a controller configured to store, in the memory, use pattern information of a user and select an object to be used as an editing criterion of a first video, based on the stored use pattern information. The controller also identifies in the first video one or more first playback sections which include the object and one or more second playback sections which do not include the object. In addition, the controller is configured to delete from the first video the one or more second playback sections to generate a second video, decrease a playback time of the second video to a predetermined playback time, and cause the display to display the second video having the predetermined playback time according to a video playback request.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for activating and deactivating secondary cells in a carrier aggregation environment are provided. In one embodiment, a Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) command is received from a base station for activating/deactivating a secondary cell associated with a User Equipment (UE). The secondary cell configured for the UE is activated/deactivated based on the MAC CE command. Further, a first uplink grant is received from the base station upon activation/deactivation of the secondary cell. Accordingly, quality information (e.g., channel quality information, sounding reference signal information, and the like) associated with the cell(s) is transmitted to the base station in the received first uplink grant over a physical uplink shared channel. Furthermore, a hybrid automatic repeat request entity associated with the secondary cell is reset.
Abstract: An electronic apparatus and a playout delay adjustment method thereof are provided. The electronic apparatus includes a target playout delay estimator configured to estimate an initial target playout delay of a current frame by using network status information of a played packet and estimate a final target playout delay of the current frame by updating the estimated initial target playout delay based on real delay information of an unplayed packet, and an adaptation controller configured to determine an adaptation method for adjusting a playout delay of the current frame based on the final target playout delay.

Abstract: To provide a semiconductor device having improved reliability. After formation of an n+ type semiconductor region for source/drain, a first insulating film is formed on a semiconductor substrate so as to cover a gate electrode and a sidewall spacer. After heat treatment, a second insulating film is formed on the first insulating film and a resist pattern is formed on the second insulating film. Then, these insulating films are etched with the resist pattern as an etching mask. The resist pattern is removed, followed by wet washing treatment. A metal silicide layer is then formed by the salicide process.
