  • Patent number: 7251901
Abstract: A measuring device includes a receiver having a cavity with differing narrowing diameters from an opening. The receiver can be moved axially. A part is moved a predetermined fixed distance, including movement while engaging and moving the receiver. The distance moved by the receiver is sensed, and the acceptability of the dimension of the object is determined by evaluating the distance moved by the receiver.

  • Patent number: 7252314
Abstract: A crash energy absorption member formed from a tubular body for absorbing impact energy by buckling when it receives an impact load in the axial direction from one end in the axial direction. It has a transverse cross-sectional shape along at least a portion in the axial direction which is a closed cross section having a plurality of vertices in which there is no flange on the outside of the closed cross section, and in a region of at least one side of a basic cross section formed from the largest outline obtained by connecting a portion of the plurality of vertices by straight lines, a groove which is recessed towards the inside of the outline is provided in a location other than at an end point of the side. Thus, the crash energy absorption member can achieve a prescribed amount of shock absorption by stably buckling in the axial direction without bending and without an increase in weight due to the addition of a partition or due to an increase in plate thickness.

Abstract: A level having a body with first and second operative walls interconnected by a web. The first wall having a first exterior operative surface and the second wall having a second exterior operative surface. The first surface and the second surface facing in opposite directions and being generally parallel to one another and the first exterior operative surface having an opening. The body further comprising a stop structure disposed between the operative walls. The level also including a level vial carried by the body and a magnet disposed in the opening and having one end abutting the stop structure. The magnet having an opposite end adjacent the first exterior operative surface for magnetically attracting a workpiece engaged with the first exterior operative surface. Another embodiment of a level includes a reinforcing wall disposed closer to the first operative wall than the second operative wall, with the reinforcing wall cooperating with the first operative wall to generally define a cavity.

  • Publication number: 20070175054
Abstract: A layout tool includes an object detector constructed and arranged to detect the location of a vertically extending edge portion of an object hidden from view behind a generally vertically extending wall surface, a light source that is capable of projecting a line of light along the wall surface, and an angular orientation mechanism operably coupled to the light projection mechanism. The angular orientation mechanism is operable to establish that the line of light is vertical. The light source and the object detector are operatively interengaged such that when a vertically extending edge is detected by the object detector, a vertically extending line of light projected on the surface by the light source indicates the location of a vertically extending edge portion of the hidden object.

  • Publication number: 20070178321
Abstract: A curable silicone composition is provided that includes a silanol functional silicone fluid. A crosslinker reactive with the silanol functional silicone fluid is combined with the silanol fluid to yield a capped reactive silanol fluid. The composition is provided with a propellant in an aerosol container under pressure so as to expel the capped reactive silanol fluid along with a diluent such as a nonvolatile unreactive silicone, an organic plasticizer, a volatile organic solvent, or a combination thereof. A film produced from this composition provides a plastic or rubber substrate with a high gloss finish with desirable wear properties. The inclusion of the optional diluent and the optional propellant facilitates aerosol application of the curable silicone composition as a thin film coating.

  • Publication number: 20070176249
Abstract: In a semiconductor physical quantity sensor of electrostatic capacitance type, mutually facing peripheral areas (bonding areas) of a glass substrate and a silicon substrate are contacted for anodic bonding, while at the same time, both substrates have an anodic bonding voltage applied therebetween so as to be integrated. A fixed electrode is formed on a bonding face-side surface of the silicon substrate, while a movable electrode is formed on a bonding face-side surface of the semiconductor substrate. An equipotential wiring, which short-circuits the fixed electrode to the movable electrode as a countermeasure to discharge in anodic bonding, is formed on the bonding face-side surface of the glass substrate inside the bonding area before the anodic bonding. After the anodic bonding, the equipotential wiring is cut and removed.

  • Publication number: 20070180227
Abstract: A decryption apparatus for use in encrypted communications is installed between a first communications apparatus and a second communications apparatus to transmit and receive encrypted packets therebetween and allowing a monitoring apparatus to monitor contents of the transmitted and received packets. The decryption apparatus includes a storage unit, a relay unit and an output unit. The storage unit stores first key information, second key information, and an encryption algorithm using the first and the second key data. The relay unit decrypts a first and a second packet received from the first and the second communications apparatus by using the first and the second key information and encrypting a decrypted first and second packet by using the second and the first key information according to the encryption algorithm and then transmitting an encrypted first and the second packet to the second and the first communications apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7249921
Abstract: A new and improved thermal type bulkhead assembly comprises a pair of new and improved thermal type bulkhead members which are adapted to be adjustably positioned with respect to each other in an overlapped mode in the widthwise direction whereby oppositely disposed side edge portions of the pair of bulkhead members can effectively engage the oppositely disposed interior side walls of the refrigerated cargo container, while upper sections of the bulkhead members can flexibly engage the ceiling portion of the refrigerated cargo container. In this manner, the lateral extent or width dimension x of the thermal type bulkhead assembly, as well as the vertical extent or height dimension y of the thermal type bulkhead assembly, can be adjustably varied whereby the thermal type bulkhead assembly of the present invention is effectively universal in structure so as to be capable of being utilized within different refrigerated cargo containers characterized by different internal width and height dimensions.
