Abstract: A bottle is assembled with an existing cap on its threaded neck to seal the contents in the bottle. A decorative top fits onto the existing cap and bottle for holding a decorative body, such as a figurine or the like, on a stem of the top. To open the bottle and use the decorative top, a removable rim comes off the top allowing it to be removed from the existing cap. The cap then twists off the bottle's neck and can be discarded. To reseal the bottle and allow drinking of its contents, the top with the removable rim detached threads onto the bottle's neck. A spout or valve of the top's stem can then be opened so contents of the bottle can be drunk from the stem.

  • Publication number: 20090266779
Abstract: A merchandise rack for attaching to a cooler door has a base arm and two frames for supporting items, such as bottles, in the rack. The base arm and frames are positioned parallel to one another, and each has their ends hingedly connected to side members on the rack. These hinged connections allow the positions of the base arm and frames to shift relative to one another so that the entire rack can be shifted. When shifted, the rack can support bottles or other items diagonally and can position in one of two vertical orientations on the cooler door. When not shifted, the rack can support the bottles or other items vertically in the rack while positioned horizontally on the cooler door.

  • Publication number: 20070269560
Abstract: A beverage bottle closure includes a cap, a cover, and a confection. The cap attaches to a beverage bottle and has a nub extending therefrom. The confection is molded onto at least a portion of the nub or stem member of the cap. The confection defines a passage in fluid communication with an orifice of the nub so that beverage can be communicated from the bottle to the open end of the confection. The cover attaches to the cap, creating an isolated chamber between the cap and the cover and turning the cap and the cover together into a closure. A stem on an inner surface of the cover inserts into the passage in the confection and engages the orifice of the nub to prevent fluid communication between the bottle and the orifice.

  • Publication number: 20040182924
Abstract: A method of grouping retail products for distribution is disclosed. The disclosed method includes arranging related products into groups. For inventory purposes, the products may be associated with a stock keeping unit number (SKU). In the disclosed method, Universal Product Codes (UPCs) are created for the groups by giving each group a unique item number to be shared among the individual SKUs in the group. Consequently, retail shelf space need only be obtained for one or more of the groups as opposed to the traditional method of obtaining retail shelf space for the individual product SKUs. Finally, the disclosed method includes associating products for distribution with the UPC for the group and periodically replacing products associated with the UPC with other products from the same group. The disclosed method helps to ensure constant changing of the products on the shelf, helps to reduce the need to pay mark-down funds, and helps to limit slotting allowances to be paid by the manufacturer.
