  • Patent number: 5822956
Abstract: The invention concerns a vacuum packaging machine having a sub-structure (1) and a cover (2). The machine further comprises a vacuum chamber (3) which is disposed in the vicinity of the union between the cover (2) and the sub-structure (1) and which comprises an upper part (4) and a lower part (5). The machine cover (2) comprises a base member (10) and at least one arm (11, 12), the arm being connected to the base member at one end. The chamber upper part (4) is mounted on the cover member (10) and the chamber lower part (5) is disposed in the sub-structure (1). The machine sub-structure (1) is provided with at least one guide roller (21) for the cover arm (11, 12), this guide roller engaging in the cover arm. The cover arm end remote from the cover base member (10) is connected to a drive device (20) by means of which the cover (2) can be moved. A device (55) for delivering a foil (51) into the interior of the vacuum chamber (3) is provided.

  • Patent number: 5528880
Abstract: A vacuum-packing machine has a vacuum chamber (1), a stop valve (10) arranged between the vacuum chamber and a vacuum pump (13), a vacuum sensor (17) connected to the vacuum chamber and an indicator (22) for the negative pressure in the vacuum chamber. An electronic circuitry (21) is connected between the vacuum sensor (17) and the indicator (22) and is designed in such a way that the electric voltage supplied thereto by the vacuum sensor (17) is converted into a continuous series of rectangular pulses. Evacuation of the chamber (1) is stopped when a predetermined pulse frequency or a deviation from a linear course of an evacuation curve is detected. Closure of the package in a vacuum can be closely adapted to the product concerned.

  • Patent number: 4179862
Abstract: A vacuum packing machine has means for automatically pulling the extending open end 6 of a product bag back into the vacuum chamber 2 when the cover 3 is closed. Such means comprises a spring loaded rod 10 fastened to the cover for pressing the end of the bag into a groove 9 hollowed out in the edge 8 of the packing machine housing 1.

  • Patent number: 4176506
Abstract: A roller surfaced stacking plate 4 is slidably hinged at one end to a framework 5 in the vacuum chamber 2 of a packing machine. The framework may be vertically raised and lowered by a pneumatic cylinder 8 and a linkage 12, 14, 19, and is horizontally displaced during such movement by reason of its pivotal connection to a counterpoise bar 22. A tilt lever 26 is pivotally connected between the framework and plate, and one end thereof bears against a bolt pin 29 extending into the vacuum chamber. With such an arrangement the plate 4 and framework 5 lie in a horizontal plane when they are retracted within the chamber 2, and the plate 4 is tilted out over the edge 31 of the machine to slidably discharge the vacuum packed products when the framework is raised. The depth of retraction within the chamber is adjustable to accommodate bagged products of various thicknesses.
