  • Patent number: 4797319
Abstract: Method for manufacturing glazed cement products of a foam light-weight aggregate, reinforcing steel under pretension or a stress-absorbing layer around the reinforcing steel. An action of generating crack, caused by a difference of coefficient of thermal expansion between the reinforcing steel and a portion of cement material while burning and cooling are carried out, is absorbed by the foam light-weight aggregate, the stress-absorbing layer or pretension given to the reinforcing steel. A reaction of unreacted cement component is promoted by the hydration to harden for recovering mechanical strength.

  • Patent number: 4784899
Abstract: There are provided an FRP molded article and a method for production thereof, which has the properties of uniformly reflecting and shielding electromagnetic waves. The molded article comprises a compression-molded laminated structure composed essentially of an electroconductive nonwoven fabric-resin composite surface layer (3), a woven fabric-resin composite intermediate layer (2) and a fiber material reinforced resin substrate layer (1), wherein the nonwoven fabric composite layer substantially contains no bubbles. The molded article can be produced by placing, on a mold, an electroconductive nonwoven fabric substantially containing no liquid resin material, a woven fabric or a prepreg thereof, and a mixture of a reinforcing fiber material and a liquid crosslink-curable resin composition; subjecting the molding materials to depressurization treatment in the mold; and then subjecting the molding materials to compression molding.

  • Patent number: 4663104
Abstract: A novel method for producing a high-strength inorganic cement article is provided. The method comprises kneading under high shearing force a cement mixture containing as essential components hydraulic cement, a hydrophilic organic binder and water, molding the kneaded mixture into an article having a water-to-solid weight ratio of not more than about 0.2, preliminarily hydrating the molded article, firing the preliminarily hydrated article at about 300.degree. to about 1000.degree. C., and then rehydrating the fired article. The resulting cement article has bending strength of not lower than about 200 kgf/sq.cm without fibrous reinforcing materials and has that of not lower than about 350 kgf/sq.cm when reinforced with heat-resistant fiber materials. The cement article can be advantageously glazed in the above mentioned method by applying a glazing agent to a desired surface of the preliminarily hydrated article and then firing the article.

  • Patent number: 4638618
Abstract: A novel decorative panel comprises specified rigid decorative sheets replaceably installed on a structural support such as frame works, substrate boards or walls. Such decorative sheets can be readily installed or replaced by the use of removable fixing means such as screws. The decorative sheet is characterized by cutouts at the corners thereof and depressions adjacent to the cutouts. When four decorative sheets are assembled together, the assembled corners of the sheets form a cut-out hole where a fixing means is inserted and a depression around the hole where the head of the fixing means is recessed. By utilizing the heads of fixing means, a variety of decorative accessories or articles can be further set on the decorative panel by means of pins, hooks, rods or magnet pieces.
