Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement and to a method relating to a swing damper (1) for carrying a tool (5) that hands from a crane arm (2) or the like. The swing damper (1) includes an upper part (11) that is connected to the crane arm (2), and a lower part (12) that carries a working implement (5) or the like either directly or via a rotator (4), for instance. The upper part (11) and the lower part (12) are pivotally connected to one another via a pivot joint (13). The swing damper (1) also includes a brake arrangement (50). The brake arrangement (50) includes a brake unit (60) that has discs (70, 80) which are pivotal about the pivot shaft (14) of the swing joint (13), wherein at least one (70) of said discs is secured against rotation relative to the upper part (11), and wherein at least (80) of said discs is secured against rotation relative to said lower part (12).
Abstract: Method for manufacturing at least one part of a device for mounting directly or indirectly on an arm of an earth-moving or material-handling machine, such as an excavator, tractor, harvester, forwarder or crane, whereby the device enables coupling and/or positioning (tilt and/or turn) of a tool (14), such as a bucket, grapple, fork, vibratory compactor or harvesting head, relatively to the arm of the machine. The method includes the steps of: a) forming a melt including unalloyed or alloyed ductile iron, b) casting at least one part of a device from the melt, c) allowing the at least one part of the device to cool, d) austenitizing the at least one part of the device, e) quenching the at least one part of the device, f) austempering the at least one part of the device, and g) allowing the at least one part of the device to cool.
Abstract: Austempered ductile iron (ADI) for components requiring high strength and/or ductility, which has a silicon content of 3.35 weight-% to 4.60 weight-%, and which is obtainable by performing an ADI-heat treatment using an austenitization temperature of at least 910° C.
Abstract: The arrangement is for coupling an implement attachment to a working arm of a working machine. The arm is connected to the implement attachment through the medium of fastener sleeves and fastener pins. The attachment includes two side-plates which each carry two bushings that include holes for accommodating the fastener pins. The bushings have a circular guide portion which fits into a circular hole in respective side-plates. The bushings include a respective flange that is connected to the side-plates by a fastener element. The hole, that receives respective fastener pins, is positioned eccentrically in relation to the guide portion in respect of at least two of the bushings.
