Patents Assigned to Industrial Electronic Rubber Company
  • Patent number: 4531281
Abstract: Electrolytic capacitor cells of paste electrode type are formed integrally in a composite or laminated belt in a predetermined pattern and subsequently severed or otherwise separated therefrom to provide a plurality of individual cells or stacked cell sets of desired shape. The belt includes at least one inner sheet of ion conducting/electron insulating material, outer sheets of electron conducting material, and intermediate sheets of insulating gasket material respectively interposed between the inner sheet and respective outer sheets. Each intermediate sheet has a plurality of holes arranged in a predetermined pattern and aligned with the holes in the other intermediate sheet for accommodating respective electrodes of a like number of pairs which have opposite surfaces in operative contact with the inner and respective outer sheets.

  • Patent number: 4501407
Abstract: A solenoid actuated fluid control valve comprises a porting member including a port and a conical valve seat circumscribing the port, and a relatively movable port closing valve element such as a needle valve element including a resilient conical tip. The valve seat and tip are correspondingly tapered and a small annular bead is provided on the resilient tip which provides for initial and preferably total sealing of the valve. Also provided is a suitable stop such as a shoulder on the needle valve element body adjacent the resilient conical tip thereon which engages an opposed surface on the porting member to prevent overcompression of the resilient conical tip and preferably to limit sealing contact to the area of the sealing bead.

  • Patent number: 4473215
Abstract: A control apparatus provides for automatic programmed sequencing of pressure bumps at precisely determined pressures in a molding press and optionally provides for full pressure or low pressure cure at the conclusion of the bumping operation. The control apparatus comprises a press pressure monitor that measures press clamp pressure and produces an output signal indicative of the measured press pressure, and a control circuit that compares the output signal with a program selected one of a number of reference signals respectively indicative of bump pressures at which a bump may be desired and directs the press to perform a bump upon a predetermined relationship between the output signal and reference signal, such being indicative of the attainment of the bump pressure indicated by the then selected reference signal. Upon completion of the bumping operation, either full or low pressure cure may be effected.

  • Patent number: 4362786
Abstract: Cable seals of the type employed in sealed electrical connectors are maintained in a predetermined orientation throughout manufacture and handling of same whereby the cable seals may be presented in a usable form to automatic assembly equipment for manufacture in cable lead terminations employed in such connectors. According to the method of the invention, the cable seals are integrally molded in a belt which provides a handleable product with the seals being maintained by the belt in a predetermined orientation. The cable seals then are punched from the belt and simultaneously inserted into a carrier for subsequent handling while still maintaining the cable seals orientated for use such as in automatic assembly equipment.

  • Patent number: 4336920
Abstract: The valve element and method of making same are characterized by a valve body having at the neck thereof a small radially outwardly projecting annular crimp bead and a resilient tip molded on the body at the neck. To mold the tip, the body is axially aligned and urged into the mouth of an open ended mold to close the cavity therein with the crimp bead engaging and being crimped by the mold wall to effect a tight annular seal about the body periphery thereby to preclude leakage of fluid material introduced in the closed cavity to form the tip, but without the development of substantial pressures in the mold that might cause excessive wear and damage to the mold.

  • Patent number: 4174244
Abstract: The present invention provides an improvement in the manufacture of laminates containing a rubber surface and particularly to a method of preparing printing blankets for the printing industry wherein the top or printing layer comprises a substantially void-free fluoroelastomer. The improved method of preparing the printing blankets of the invention comprises preparing a composite of a fibrous or pressure sensitive adhesive backing material; a layer of a foamable and cross-linkable elastomeric material over the backing material; a second fibrous material over the layer of foamable material; a top layer of a non-foamable cross-linkable elastomeric material over said second layer of fibrous material; and molding the composite at an elevated temperature under pressure. The improved process of the present invention provides a compressible printing blanket having a top layer surface which not only is substantially void free but also is substantially free of surface irregularities.
