    Abstract: If an active smart node detects that an object leaves a center region of a FOV for a boundary region, the active smart node predicts a possible path of the object. When the object gets out of the FOV, the active smart node predicts the object appears in a FOV of another smart node according to the possible path and a spatial relation between cameras. The active smart node notifies another smart node to become a semi-active smart node which determines an image characteristic similarity between the object and a new object and returns to the active smart node if a condition is satisfied. The active smart node compares the returned characteristic similarity, an object discovery time at the semi-active smart node, and a distance between the active smart node and the semi-active smart node to calculate possibility.

    Abstract: An on-chip balun is disclosed. The balun includes a first transmission line, a second transmission line and a coupling transmission line. A terminal of the first transmission line receives a first signal. A terminal of the second transmission line receives a second signal and the other terminal of the second transmission line is coupled to a reference voltage. A terminal of the coupling transmission line receives the reference voltage, and the other terminal is directly connected to the other terminal of the first transmission line. The coupling transmission line and the second transmission line are disposed in parallel for coupling the second signal to generate a coupling signal on the coupling transmission line. The first and second signals are differential signals and the phases of the second signal and the coupling signal are opposite.

    Abstract: A method for application layer gateway (ALG) assisted local IP access (LIPA) at a base station by network address translation (NAT) allows IP capable UEs connected via HeNB or other kinds of Femto cell base station to use LIPA to establish multimedia session with other IP capable entities in the same IP network by NAT. The method relays a LIPA request to IMS, determines whether the terminating entity residing in the same IP network or not, and determines if the originating and terminating entities are allowed to use LIPA, and modifies the transport address information accordingly to facilitate signaling and packet routing. The method also provides the capability to apply different charging policies for LIPA and non-LIPA usages.

    Abstract: An embedded capacitor substrate module includes a substrate, a metal substrate and a solid electrolytic capacitor material. The solid electrolytic capacitor material is formed on the metal substrate, so as to form a solid electrolytic capacitor with the substrate. The embedded capacitor substrate module further includes an electrode lead-out region formed by extending the substrate and the metal substrate. The metal substrate serves as a first electrode, and the substrate serves as a second electrode. An insulating material is formed between the substrate and the metal substrate.     Abstract: A joint subcarrier usage ratio and power allocation method, the system and base station, and a controller using the same are proposed. The method is adapted for a femtocell base station using OFDMA technology to jointly select transmission power and subcarrier usage ratio. The method includes a first adjustment process, which simultaneously, dynamically and jointly adjusts the transmission power and the subcarrier usage ratio so as to quickly satisfy capacity requirement and link reliability requirement. The method also includes a second adjustment process for slowly adjusting the transmission power and the subcarrier usage ratio after the capacity requirement and the link reliability requirement are both met in the first adjustment process for stability duration. The second adjustment process helps the femtocell base station achieve maximal power efficiency. An outer-loop control might be used in the method to relax the capacity requirement of one femtocell for quickly achieving a stable situation.
