  • Patent number: 5318336
Abstract: A sunvisor for automobiles has the following elements. A one-piece casing composed of a plastic material. A retaining spring has a housing for retaining a pivot pin of a support attached to an automobile structure, so that the retaining ring may snugly rotate about the pin. The retaining spring and the pivot pin have mechanical means allowing a rest position of the sunvisor to be set. A hanging bridge is engageable with a support attached to the automobile structure and an external covering is formed as a sheath. The retaining spring is a one-piece member and is arranged in an interior of the casing totally covered by he casing and held firmly in a required position. The retaining spring is accessible from outside of the casing through a single orifice formed in the casing so that it may snugly slide for coupling with a pivot pin of the bent support attached to the automobile structure.

  • Patent number: 5061003
Abstract: The cover for automobile sun visor mirrors has several rigid sheet-like plates, overlapping and connected slidably to each other with a plurality of lug and slot sets in a continuous chain-like succession, such that in the open position exposing the mirror all the plates are accumulated one above the other and retracted in the interior of a container concealed in the sun visor body. To close the cover, the foremost plate is pulled outwards, which carries along with it the other plates until the whole of the mirror is covered. The movement may be lengthwise or transverse relative to the major axis of the sun visor. The sun visor and the mirror may have any appropriate structure and may be equipped with other auxiliarly or complementary items such as a document holder bag and lights, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4235319
Abstract: A clutch mechanism for use in rotationally operable devices, for example a window raising and lowering system of a vehicle, allows rotation in either direction when operated properly by means of a specially provided shaft, but prevents rotation if unauthorized attempts are made, for example to lower or raise the window. The shaft is connected to two or more lugs which on rotation co-act with respective wedge elements located in respective recesses at the periphery of a rotatable disc so that drive is transferred from the lugs to rotate the disc. At least one lug and associated wedge element is mounted in the same sequence in each circumferential direction around the disc so that the disc can be rotated in either direction.
