Abstract: A boot lid mechanism for the lid of the boot of a convertible motor car which includes means enabling the lid to pivot about an axis situated near the forward portion of the lid and substantially orthogonal of the longitudinal centre line of the car, this pivoting movement being accompanied by a movement towards and away from the axis.
Abstract: A flexible hood for a convertible car which includes a cover with a front portion and a rear portion and a frame for supporting the cover which includes side portions secured to the car body, extending along the sides of the hood and each including a first and a second parallelogram linkage arranged in series and operable to enable the hood to be moved to an extended configuration covering the driving compartment and to a configuration folded away behind this compartment. Each of the second parallelogram linkages has means enabling it selectively to move independently of its associated first linkage, thus making it possible to fold only the front portion of the flexible hood.

Abstract: The flexible roof is movable between an extended position in which it covers the passenger compartment and a folded position. It is provided with a pivoted framework comprising a main arched structure carrying anchoring pins and a rear arched member carrying catch devices which can engage the anchoring pins. Hooks are connected to the body of the motor-vehicle and engage the pins when the roof is extended so as to prevent the structure from pivoting. The hooks are released from the pins by the catch devices when the catch devices engage the pins so as to enable the structure and the arch to pivot freely together.
Abstract: A flexible top for soft-top motor vehicles, provided with an articulated framework which can assume an extended condition covering the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle and a folded non-covering condition, includes a rigid glass rear window having its lower edge provided with means for pivotal connection to the body of the motor vehicle so as to be displaceable between a raised operable position and a lowered rest position in which it is received within the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle.
