Abstract: A continuously variable transmission with auxiliary drive, such as a flywheel and including first and second continuously variable transmission components, a planetary differential, selectable coupling apparatus having a first apparatus operative in a first mode of operation for connecting the planetary to the flywheel and to the continuous variable transmission in a first manner and a second apparatus operative in a second mode of operation for connecting the planetary to the flywheel and to the continuously variable transmission in a second manner.
