Abstract: A light emitting diode and a method of manufacturing the light emitting diode are provided. The light emitting diode includes an n-type semiconductor layer, an inclined type superlattice thin film layer, an active layer, and a p-type semiconductor layer. The n-type semiconductor layer is disposed on a substrate. The inclined type superlattice thin film layer is disposed on the n-type semiconductor layer and includes a plurality of thin film pairs in which InGaN thin films and GaN thin films are sequentially stacked. The active layer having a quantum well structure is disposed on the inclined type superlattice thin film layer. The p-type semiconductor layer is disposed on the active layer. Composition ratio of Indium (In) included in the InGaN thin film is increased as getting closer to the active layer. Thus, internal residual strain is reduced, and quantum confinement effect is enhanced, and internal quantum efficiency is increased.

Abstract: A stretchable circuit board has stretchability as well as flexibility of the flexible substrate and retains mechanical and electrical properties even under larger deformation such as bending, twisting, etc. The liquid metal pattern can exhibit stretchability almost to same to that of the polymer substrate due to that the liquid metal is fully wetted on the substrate with metal patterns based on the wetting behavior of the liquid metal. Therefore, the stretchable circuit board can achieve both mechanical and electrical properties even under physical deformation such as bending, stretching and twisting. It is demonstrated that the stretchable circuit board can be effectively applied to wearable tactile interfaces, stretchable solar cell arrays, stretchable displays, and wearable electronic devices.

  • Publication number: 20160017341
Abstract: Provided is a ramp tag capable of solving instability in translation rate resulting from poor compatibility between codons in a foreign gene and a host when expressing a recombinant protein in E. coli. Unlike the conventional codon optimization or codon deoptimization method for solving the problem of rare codons, the present invention increases an expression efficiency of a target protein by merely having the ramp tag be fused with a target gene or independently expressed, without changing the original codon sequence, thereby allowing tRNA to be reused. Thus, the present invention provides a novel method for increasing recombinant protein expression which is capable of reducing costs and time in comparison to the codon optimization method that artificially synthesizes DNA sequences. Therefore, it is expected that the method of the present invention will be able to be used in production of high value-added pharmaceuticals or industrial enzymes.
