    Abstract: A system is provided for reducing instabilities associated with the operation of a pressure control valve. In an embodiment, the system may include a pressure vessel configured for containing a working fluid. A pressure control valve may be configured for pressure dependent flow of the working fluid from the pressure vessel. The pressure vessel may be coupled to the pressure control valve by a fluid conduit. An instability suppression device may be in fluid communication with the fluid conduit between the pressure vessel and the pressure control valve. The instability suppression device may provide a compliant interface with the working fluid. In an embodiment, the instability suppression device may change the acoustic dynamics associated with the fluid path between the pressure vessel and the pressure control valve to control pressure and flow oscillations at an inlet of the pressure control valve.
