Abstract: A touch display includes an active display screen, a display driving circuit, a touch system circuit, and a display/touch signal gating-switch and output circuit or display/touch signal loading and merge circuit. A vertical blanking time exists between each two display times of a display screen electrode, during the time, the display screen does not execute display driving, and stops scanning the row electrodes, the column electrodes and the COM electrode maintain an original output state or a certain preset output signal, and a part or all of active devices of the display screen are in an off state; during a time of transmitting a display signal by the display screen electrode, due to a transient potential difference of an applied touch signal between the electrodes, the active devices of the display screen are enabled to maintain the off state.

  • Publication number: 20120113038
Abstract: An active touch system is provided, in which sensing electroding units in an array and two groups of intersecting control electrodes and detecting lines are disposed on a touch substrate, and the detecting lines are connected to sensing electrodings through active devices. The control electrodes are used to control on and off of the active devices, and the detecting lines are used to apply touch excitation signals to the sensing electrodings, and detect a leakage current of a sensing electroding to a finger or other touch object. A position of the finger or other touch object on the touch substrate is found by determining a sensing electroding unit generating the leakage current. The method of obtaining touch signals is improved in the hardware sensing stage, so that the judgment procedure after detection is greatly simplified, and the judgment of multi-point touch becomes easy and natural.

Abstract: In the field of touch screens and more particularly capacitive touch screens, a digital capacitive touch screen is provided, which includes a touch substrate and a touch system circuit. The touch system circuit has a touch excitation source and a touch signal detection unit. At least two staggered electrode groups are disposed on the touch substrate, and multiple electrode lines of the electrode groups are connected to the touch excitation source. In a working period of the touch system circuit, for at least one moment, the touch excitation source applies touch signals to more than two electrode lines at the same time, and the touch signal detection unit detects the change of the touch signal on at least one of the electrode lines. Thereby, a high-definition and large-sized digital capacitive touch screen is obtained. The digital capacitive touch screen has a simple structure, low cost, and high reliability.

  • Publication number: 20110102360
Abstract: A touch screen flat panel display (FPD) is provided, which includes a display screen, a display driving circuit, a touch system circuit, and the like. Related circuits in the touch screen FPD enable electrodes of the display screen to transmit display driving signals as well as touch signals, that is to say, the display driving and the touch detection multiplex the electrodes of the display screen, such that the FPD is not only used for normal display but also used for realizing touch detection. By applying the touch signal simultaneously to detecting lines and non-detecting lines, the flow of the touch signal between the detecting lines and between the detecting line and the non-detecting line is reduced, thus controlling the flow direction of the touch signal, and increasing the accuracy of determining touched electrodes.
