  • Patent number: 8054436
Abstract: A substrate for display device is provided. As a wiring structure of the substrate, the scan line layer and the signal line layer are not connected directly by arranging through-holes between the scan line layer and the signal line layer, but are connected through an ITO layer by arranging through-holes between the scan line layer and the ITO layer and arranging through-holes between the signal line layer and the ITO layer, with an object to reduce the value of the connection resistance between the scan line layer and the signal line layer. Through-holes connecting the scan line layer and the ITO layer and through-holes connecting the signal line layer and the ITO layer are configured in a comb shape respectively and engaged with each other. Thus the length of the ITO connecting the scan line layer and the signal line layer becomes shorter and the value of the connection resistance is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7986394
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide a liquid crystal display device having a flexural panel formed by bending the normal plan liquid crystal panel, which possesses an excellent display quality without the leakage of the light. The technical solution thereof is: the entire liquid crystal panel is bent to form a concave shape bend at the observer's side of the liquid crystal panel, that is, at a side of the CF substrate, towards the observer, so that the pitch at the horizontal direction of the respective pixels on the CF substrate is shorter than the pitch at the horizontal direction of the respective pixels on the TFT substrate, or to make said the same as each other and the width at the horizontal direction of the black matrix existing in both left and right end regions of the horizontal direction on the CF substrate, which is bent to a concave shape, is greater than the width at the horizontal direction of the black matrix disposing in the central section region.

  • Patent number: 7868987
Abstract: To utilize effectively the panel space of the liquid crystal panel, this invention has provided a wiring structure, in which the seal material and BM are coated in a superposition and the UV light is irradiated from one side of the TFT substrate; this invention has also provided a wiring structure, in which the seal material can still be irradiated by the UV light with high efficiency, meanwhile, the drop of the resistance value of the metal wiring on the TFT substrate can be restricted to a specific range. The solution is: the liquid crystal dropped is sandwiched between the TFT substrate and the CF substrate, meanwhile the liquid crystal panel is formed by adhering the light cured seal material disposed at the peripheral area of two substrates.

  • Patent number: 7746439
Abstract: The present invention provides a mounting film for a liquid crystal display drive chip and a method for manufacturing the same. The mounting film is provided with a slit cut from a side edge thereof, or provided with a weakened line for forming the slit. When a distance between a liquid crystal display panel and a control circuit substrate of the liquid crystal display unit is un-uniform, the opening degree of the slit is variable accordingly to accommodate variations in the distance. Such a COF mounting film for a liquid crystal display drive chip may be generally used even though a distance between the liquid crystal display panel and the control circuit substrate varies slightly. Therefore, the manufacturing cost of the liquid crystal display unit may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7586580
Abstract: Curved-panel liquid crystal display and method of its manufacture are realized without necessitating drastic changes to the display structure or to the steps in its manufacture, and without requiring new materials or manufacturing technology. The back side of a liquid crystal panel is set on first concavely curved spacers that support two opposing edges of the panel back side. Second concavely curved spacers are set on the front side of the two opposing panel edges. Third spacers of uniform height are disposed on the panel back side to support it along the remaining two edges. The second spacers are then pressed to pressure the panel from the front side against the first spacers, wherein the panel is clamped between the first and second spacers.
