Abstract: The invention allows at least one business process to execute in at least one application while the same is monitored the progress in non-intrusive manner. The various embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system to monitor the business transactions in process unaware systems non-intrusively. The activities occurring in a business process are set up using a business model. The events in the business process are identified based set of application data of a plurality of applications associated with the business process. The identified events are mapped to activities and the activities are mapped to process instances based on predefined mapping rules. Key performance indicators are set for each of the activities in the business process. At least one subsequent activity to be completed for the process instance is determined. An alert is created when KPI violation occurs with respect to the completed activity.

Abstract: A method and system for determining a best price to rent a multimedia content being offered for viewing by at least one service provider to a plurality of users through a communication network is provided. The service provider offers the multimedia content to the plurality of users at a base price. The method includes receiving a first price from the user that he/she is willing to pay for the multimedia content. The first price is lesser than the base price. The method further includes calculating a number of commercials that need to be shown the user to recover a cost to show the multimedia content at the first price. Furthermore, the method includes calculating a best price that the service provider can offer to the user when the service provider does not have enough commercials to offer the multimedia content at the first price.

Abstract: A method for validating authenticity of identity claims of one or more communicating entities in an online transaction over a network is disclosed. The method includes extracting identity information of the first communicating entity by the second communicating entity during online transaction and prompting a client to provide a unique resource name of the first entity. Further, the method includes validating the identity information extracted from the first entity by checking identity information already registered in a registry. Later the method includes authenticating the identity claims of the first entity based on the validation results. The method also includes steps for registering identity information of the first entity within the registry.

Abstract: A method to bypass the existing pay and use model to deliver services over existing wireless LAN infrastructure between mobile terminal and server is disclosed. Many of the existing WLAN infrastructures require users to subscribe to service provider to access their network. The inventive method uses internet protocol (IP) packet for delivering services/data between server and mobile terminal. Internet protocol (IP) layer processes the IP packets received from a mobile terminal and uses protocol subfield in the IP header of the received IP packet in identifying the services/data at the server end. The server sends the IP packet containing requested services/data to the mobile terminal. Since all the communication takes place at IP layer (not TCP or UDP) it doesn't require user id and password to go through.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method, system and computer program product for generating one or more functional test cases for testing a software application. One or more use-case activity diagrams are developed for the software application on the basis of a predefined set of rules. The consistency of the use-case activity diagrams is checked automatically. Further, the consistent use-case activity diagrams are validated with one or more users. Furthermore, the one or more functional test cases are generated automatically from the validated use-case activity diagrams.

Abstract: A system and method for robust data loss recovery in a wireless local area network is provided. The method includes splitting user data into multiple data fragments. The method further includes creating multiple beacon frames by placing each data fragment in a unique beacon frame and broadcasting the beacon frames through a wireless medium by an access point of the network. Prior to transmission, the method includes arranging the frames into a plurality of groups and creating a parity frame for each group, to be transmitted along with the beacon frame. After transmission, the beacon frames are received by a wireless client and data fragments are extracted from each beacon frame. At the receiving end, the wireless client checks whether all the transmitted beacon frames have been received. Finally, the user data is reconstructed from the extracted data fragments by reassembling the data fragments.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method, system and computer program product for optimizing business processes in an organization. Each business process to be optimized is characterized by one or more performance indicators. One or more process characteristics are identified corresponding to each of the performance indicators. For each of the process characteristics, at least one transformation pattern is identified. Thereafter, one or more transformation patterns are selected from the identified transformation patterns, for optimizing the process characteristics, and thereby optimizing the business processes.

The method comprises a step of first receiving an application request from the one or more requesting devices. The method includes extracting details of the request. Further markup language structure for corresponding page of the application is generated. The markup language structure is generated by invoking page handlers which includes contacting business logic layer to get information required to be embedded in the corresponding page. The output page is then provided to the requesting device.

Abstract: An approach to determine the service demand of various resources of any individual server (present in a cluster of servers), given the overall transaction throughput and utilization values of these resources, in case of a network load balanced scenario is disclosed. The method proposes a quantitative approach to calculate the transaction throughput of each network load balanced server from the overall transaction throughput, obtained from any commercial performance testing tool. The individual transaction throughputs are calculated using monitored values of network related performance counters of each server and the load balancer obtained from performance testing. Service demands of the resource can be computed using the Utilization law of Queuing Theory once the throughput of that server and utilization of that resource is obtained.

Abstract: A method for handling cross-cutting concerns at business level while developing enterprise application is disclosed. The method identifies the common variation requirements for the common cross cutting business concerns. The method then identifies the architecture strategies to enable identified variations and based on those strategies define an architecture with well defined variation points and finally define mechanisms for bundling such variations. The proposed solution describes how business aspects can be developed for applying cross cutting business concerns using the Infosys RADIEN Framework.

Abstract: A method for disseminating Early Warning Messages (EWMs) to subscriber terminals by an Early Warning Unit (EWU) in a mobile communication network is provided. The method comprises identifying at least one base station in a first region and sending a trigger signal to the identified base station for initiating the dissemination of the EWMs. The method further comprises sending an invitation request to one or more peer base stations in a second region and receiving subscriber details from one or more base stations. The method furthermore comprises selectively disseminating the EWMs to the one or more subscriber terminals based on location details of the subscriber terminals using a grid computing architecture. The grid computing architecture facilitates parallel dissemination of the EWMs to the one or more subscriber terminals by splitting the subscriber details into one or more data fragments.

The knowledge capture module further establishes association between the plurality of knowledge elements. The collaboration module provides collaboration between the first set of users and the second set of users during the transition of the one or more applications.

Abstract: A method for adaptive data masking of a database is provided. The method comprises extracting data from a first database and providing one or more predefined rules for masking the extracted data. The method further comprises masking a first portion of extracted data using a trained Artificial Neural Network (ANN), where the ANN is trained for masking at least one database having properties similar to the first database. The masked and unmasked data is aggregated to arrive at an output structurally similar to the extracted data. The method furthermore comprises determining a deviation value between the arrived output and expected output of the extracted data, and adapting the trained ANN automatically according to data masking requirements of the first database, if the deviation value is more than a predefined value.

Generating the family of questions includes the generation of various questions from a particular compilable code, and the corresponding options for the questions. The options include various correct and incorrect options for the questions.

Abstract: A method and system for parallel query processing is provided. The method includes estimating a number of sub-queries that may be formed corresponding to an input query. The method further includes fragmenting the input query into a plurality of sub queries by adding one or more filter predicates to the input query without altering the semantics of the input query. Further, processing of the sub queries is scheduled. Thereafter, one or more query execution plans are generated and processed. Following the processing of the query execution plans, the results of the processed sub queries are collated, aggregated and presented in a required format.

Abstract: A method for delivering location based information in wireless zone is disclosed. All the location based information is stored in the access point itself thus eliminating the need for backend server. Access point has the intelligence to deliver information in customized to each requesting device's display capability. To provide seamless access to local information the user will get a default web page once the device connects to access point and tries to access internet. This web page will act as a gateway to all the location based information available in the access point. Along with location based information advertisements can also be delivered to the end user in a very cost effective and targeted manner.

Abstract: A method for providing value added services to a user terminal by an access point in a wireless network is provided. The method comprises intercepting a request initiated by a user terminal for accessing information. The method further comprises determining if the request is a local search request. If the request is a local search request, then location information is appended to the request. Location specific search results are rendered on the user terminal.

Abstract: The SPD according to exemplary embodiments of the invention may interface with different buses and computer system architectures to enable deployment in a wide variety of devices. Heterogeneous network (300) using SPDs in various computing devices. Desktop computers (302), mobile systems (such as cell phones) (304), mainframes (306), workstations (308), PDA systems (310) and other devices may be operatively connected to a network (such as the Internet or an Intranet). These devices may include SPDs (312) to enable web services to be provided among these devices. They may also communicate with some devices that do not include SPDs (such as the PC Desktop System (302) and Mobile System (304) in FIG. 3). These devices would require the use of a SOAP software toolkit for the particular platform, because they do not include an SPD. The SPDs could have different designs in different systems, while they share a common SOAP engine to provide a consistent and efficient SOAP processing capability.
