Abstract: A method for measuring the performance of at least one target server housing a dynamic monitoring tool which can be controlled by scripts, the dynamic monitoring tool having predefined probes for acquiring the data relating to the behavior of an operating system and applications of the target server, the method including, from a remote management server, the following steps: a dynamic monitoring tool within the target server is accessed via a communication network, at least one script to be executed by the dynamic monitoring tool is remotely transmitted, and at predetermined times, the target server is automatically accessed so as to retrieve the performance data resulting from the execution of the script by the dynamic monitoring tool.

Abstract: A method is provided for managing a relational database of the SQL type for information technology and network infrastructure service information, including a method in which the following are created, in a system for managing a database of the MySQL type, a read-only data storage engine, and unmodifiable tables, for example of WORM, defined as “Write Once Read Many” type managed by the storage engine; each table includes a column of digital counting data called a “timestamp”; each table is partitioned by time intervals; partition files are grouped in subdirectories of a file system, these directories forming a tree structure, each node of which is uniquely identified from a timestamp.

Abstract: A method for configuring an interactive platform for monitoring the performance and the quality of a computer network, the monitoring data being suitable to be displayed on a dynamic page of type webpage in a form of graphic components called “displets”; including providing, on the interactive platform a configuration interface in which are defined, for at least one given user, filtering criteria for displaying displets, the criteria being defined in the form of parameters for configuring the rights of the at least one user.

Abstract: A method is provided for allowing a monitoring system to classify, by entity, IP “accounting” elements passing through routers of a network of a service provider, these entities being arranged in different sites connected to the network. The method includes: each site is associated with an interface of a router to which that site is connected, and during analysis by the monitoring system of an accounting element originating from a router, information relating to the source interface and destination interface contained in this accounting element is used in order to identify the source and destination sites and to classify this accounting element with respect to the correct source or destination entity.

Abstract: A method is provided for generating a cartography of a geographic area, including a step of obtaining a satellite image providing a morphology of obstacles in certain geographical positions of the area, a step of obtaining first data for the altitude of peaks of the obstacles relative to sea level, a step of obtaining second data for the altitude of the ground for the geographical positions relative to sea level, a step of calculating the height of the obstacles via the difference between the first and second data, and a step of generating the cartography by combining, in each geographical position, morphology of the obstacle with the height of the obstacle.

Abstract: A method for detecting topology changes of a computer network, includes the following steps of acquisition of the raw data from the configuration tables of the network elements during successive primary pollings, the following steps being carried out between two successive primary pollings: calculation and storage of a checksum value for each network element having raw data which are considered to be sensitive, at least one secondary polling, allowing the sensitive data to be retrieved again from each corresponding element, comparison of the previously-stored checksum value, at each secondary polling and for each element termed sensitive, with a new checksum value calculated with the new sensitive data, for each sensitive element, when the two checksum values differ, updating in a topology database only the topology data relative to the corresponding element.

Abstract: A memory management system for a process formulated in the C/C++ language in a processing unit includes an allocator which processes memory blocks of predetermined size, for example 64 Kb. Large objects are defined as being objects having a size of between 256 and 64 Kb. For such objects, 64 Kb memory block is considered to be a memory region (“chunk”) able to accommodate several large objects of different sizes. When an object is no longer used by the process, the space freed can be returned to the operating system. Before this, this free space is merged with adjacent free spaces. To search for adjacent free spaces, the Bruijn sequence algorithm is used, applied to the bit field disposed in each predetermined memory region.

Data relating to a first Instance are collected on the first Instance or on one or several other Instances. These collected data are attached to this first Instance via the model of the information system. Classes of objects of the information system, called Vistas, are defined, each Vista comprising Properties and/or Indicators, the Instances of the information system belonging to one or several Vistas. The process further comprises rules defining inheritances between different Vistas. Various models of the information system can be defined from a same set of Vistas via different rules.
