Abstract: Methods and systems for organizing and proactive delivery of information updates from multiple sources are disclosed. Information updates are organized under their respective information topics in an attention list, in which information topics are sorted into ordered attention groups according to their associated attention states. Within each attention group, information topics are further sorted into ordered priority groups according to their associated priority attributes. Within each priority group, information topics are further sorted by age and according to their aging attributes. The attentions states, priority attributes, and aging attributes of information topics are defined by the information delivery system or by individual users. Notifications of new information updates are delivered to a subscriber according to an information delivery schedule.

Abstract: The disclosed implementations enable websites to deploy highly contextual, consumer-controlled, scalable, and proactive information relationship channels. Consumers can subscribe to a subset of the information relevant to them and receive information as per their individually configured preferences.
