Abstract: The invention concerns an in vitro method for determining if an individual is infected by a gram-negative bacterium preferably on prosthesis comprising: (i) detection of antibodies directed against a polypeptide of sequence SEQ ID NO: 2 and antibodies directed against a polypeptide of sequence SEQ ID NO: 4, in a biological sample of the individual, and (ii) deduction therefrom that the individual is infected by a gram-negative bacterium. The invention further concerns the kit for diagnosing of such an infection.
Abstract: The invention concerns an in vitro method for determining if an individual is infected by a bacterium of the Propionibacterium genus comprising: (i) detecting antibodies directed against at least one protein of sequence SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 4, SEQ ID NO: 6 or SEQ ID NO: 8, in a biological sample of the individual, and (ii) deducing therefrom that the individual is infected by a bacterium of the Propionibacterium genus. The invention further concerns the kit for diagnosing of such an infection.
Abstract: The invention concerns novel polypeptides, or parts or variants of the novel polypeptides, the use of sequences encoding the polypeptides and the use of antibodies directed against the polypeptides in the field of in vitro diagnosis of a Staphylococcus epidermidis and/or Staphylococcus aureus infection on foreign material implanted in the body.
Abstract: The invention concerns a method to determine if an individual is infected by a bacterium selected from the group consisting Streptococcus, Enterococcus and Peptostreptococcus genera comprising: (i) detection of antibodies directed against at least one protein of sequence SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 4, SEQ ID NO: 6 or SEQ ID NO: 8, in a biological sample of the individual, and (ii) deducing therefrom that the individual is infected by a bacterium selected from the group consisting of Streptococcus, Enterococcus and Peptostreptococcus genera. The invention further concerns the kit for diagnosing of such an infection.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining if an individual is infected by a staphylococcus bacterium, comprising: determining if antibodies directed against at least 2 proteins comprising a sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 4, and SEQ ID NO: 6, are present in a biological sample of the individual, and deducing therefrom that the individual is infected by a staphylococcus bacterium.

Abstract: The invention relates to novel polynucleotides, including SEQ ID NO: 1 or parts or variants of the sequence, novel polypeptides encoded by the polynucleotides, expression vectors including the polynucleotides and host cells including the expression vectors. The polynucleotides and polypeptides can be used in the field of in vitro diagnosis and/or for production of vaccines against Legionella pneumophila.
