  • Patent number: 9171425
Abstract: The present invention relates to a reel-type slot machine having interactive spin action visual effects. The reel-type slot machine includes at least M reels, each reel having symbols associated with it; a video display for displaying a video image of a M N matrix of squares, each square associated with a symbol of a corresponding reel; and a spin actuator for initiating play and interactively producing spin action visual effects associated with the M×N matrix of squares by inputting a direction vector and speed, wherein the direction vector and speed respectively determine the direction and speed of the spin action visual effects. Preferably, the spin actuator is a trackball.

  • Patent number: 8740217
Abstract: The play of roulette-type game is made more enticing by offering for a single bet a range of payouts from very modest with a high frequency to very great with low frequency. This is achieved without changing the underlying roulette-type game. • Publication number: 20120009987
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for operating a bingo game. Play cells are organized into a pair of linked M×N grids, where each one of M and N is greater than two. Each one of the play cells bears one of a predetermined set of symbols. At least some of the symbols are selected by a means for randomly selecting different symbols from the set. The symbol selection designates the play cells to be daubed. A predetermined pattern spanning two grids is displayed by a means for displaying the pattern. The pattern is to be formed by combining different sub-patterns formed within each of the linked grids using the daubed play cells.

  • Publication number: 20100160034
Abstract: A gaming system and method for operating a sequence of single games, providing enhanced payouts for bets placed with credits earned over the course of previous games, and restricting access to certain games according to a predetermined set of criterion. The system comprises a terminal for players to place their bets on outcomes of a last selected game and a single game controller for operating the last selected game. The system further comprises a sequencer for selecting the next game of the sequence at predetermined intervals of time and determining whether players are eligible to participate in the selected games. The system also comprises a bet controller for determining whether the bets were placed with regular or bonus credits, and assigning enhanced payout factors to those of the bets that were placed with bonus credits.

  • Publication number: 20100144427
Abstract: A gaming system and method for operating a multi-round game having a progressive jackpot that is incremented by those of the credits that were earned either individually or collectively by the players without being cashed in before the end of the game. The system comprises a terminal for players to enter their game-related decisions away from the eyes of competing players by operating a keyboard having a random layout. A game controller selects a game outcome and an outcome analyzer determines whether credits were earned individually or collectively. An earned credit controller updates credits earned individually, and a pool credit controller, credits earned collectively. A player can cash in earned credits by retiring, but earned credits that are not cashed in before the end of the game are incremented to a jackpot by a progressive jackpot controller.

  • Patent number: 7008317
Abstract: A computer gambling game is disclosed herein. The computer gambling game includes a computer program to provide a plurality of sequences of game states, each leading to a game outcome. A game seed is required by the computer program to generate one of the sequences of game states. Each game seed corresponds to one of the sequences of game states. The program can be acquired in the form of a computer-readable medium, such as a CD-ROM. To play the computer game, a player must also acquire an initiator code that can either be printed on an instant play lottery ticket or distributed via a computer network. The initiator code corresponds to one of the game seeds. The computer program uses a look-up table to retrieve the game seed that corresponds to the initiator code and to provide the corresponding sequence of game states that will lead to the outcome. Some outcomes lead to gains.

  • Patent number: 6918589
Abstract: The present invention provides a lottery type game system, method and ticket, wherein the winning of a game is determined by the assignment of game images to a predetermined number of consecutive positions along a linear array. The value of the prize is determined by the precise position along the linear array at which this predetermined number of game images are assigned. The assignment of the position of a game image can be established by: a) matching a game image associated with a particular gaming piece with an identical image located at a predetermined position along the linear array; or b) receiving a game piece upon which both the game image and the assigned position of the game image along the array is indicated.
