Abstract: The fitting terminates an end of a high-pressure hose and comprises a coupling having a portion thereof inserted in the hose end, and a sleeve, enveloping both the hose end and the coupling inserted portion, crimped onto the hose end. A void obtains within the sleeve at the end of the hose, and a capillary hole formed in the sleeve (and in a circumferential wall of the coupling) communicates the void with the external surface of the sleeve. The hole, a weep hole, safely relieves fluid leakage or seepage from the void.

Abstract: An extrusion die wherein extrusion passageways are provided with a working section having a smooth wall, and a controlled relief section having a rippled wall of similar effective diameter as the working section in order to control pellet expansion and other factors.

Abstract: The friction rock stabilizer comprises an elongate element for insertion into an earth structure bore, for stabilizing the earth structure, which has a sheath rendering the stabilizer impervious to chemical attack and, hence, corrosion-resistant. The bore surface isolating method, in an embodiment thereof, comprises interposing a protective or isolating sleeve or lining between the stabilizer and the earth structure bore. The protective or isolating lining provides two benefits: it facilitates movement of the stabilizer into frictional engagement with the bore, by isolating the stabilizer from the rough surface of the bore wall, and also provides a corrosion-resistant sheath to protect the stabilizer, in the bore, from alkaline or acidic mine water, corrosive minerals, and the like.
