  • Publication number: 20220252647
Abstract: A computing device includes a port to allow the computing device to connect to a network, and one or more processors, the one or more processors configured to execute code to cause the one or more processors to determine that a new waveform has been added to a repository connected to the computing device, perform a set of measurements on the new waveform, attach results from the measurements to the new waveform as metadata, and store the new waveform and attached metadata to the repository. A method of managing waveform data includes determining that a new waveform has been added to a repository, performing a set of measurements on the new waveform, attaching results from the measurements to the new waveform as metadata, and storing the new waveform and attached metadata to the repository.

  • Publication number: 20220174068
Abstract: A test and measurement system that allows a user to use an activation code coupled with a user-owned communication device to provide security credentials to cloud or web-based services with security enhancements or preferences. The test and measurement system includes a test and measurement instrument that can initiate the connection and a remote server which provide an activation code for a user to enter on the communication device to connect the test and measurement instrument to the cloud or web-based services.

  • Publication number: 20220163566
Abstract: A test and measurement device has a communications port configured to connect the test and measurement device to a network, a memory, and one or more processors configured to execute code to cause the processors to receive an original waveform through the communications port, the original waveform having an identified file type, store the original waveform in the memory, the original waveform having an original file size, compress the original waveform to a compressed waveform having a compressed file size that is smaller than the original file size, notify one or more users that the compressed waveform is available, and upon receiving a request, transmitting the compressed waveform to a user device.

  • Patent number: 11044181
Abstract: A server has a processor and a memory connected to the processor. The memory stores instructions executed by the processor to receive broadcast reports from a network, where each broadcast report includes an account identifier, a group identifier, a data stream identifier and a value. Each broadcast report is stored in a database as raw data. A request for information in the database is received. In response to the request, the raw data is altered in accordance with a pre-defined data transformation to produce transformed data. A first visualization of the transformed data associated with a first data stream identifier of a first group identifier is rendered. A second visualization of the transformed data associated with a second data stream identifier of the first group identifier is rendered. The first visualization is supplied in conjunction with the second visualization in response to the request.

  • Patent number: 9405755
Abstract: A method implemented by a computer includes receiving a log file with log file data characterizing the operation of a system. A normalized format for the log file data is proposed. User input on the normalized format is solicited. The normalized format is set. The log file data is converted to the normalized format. A visualization application operative with the normalized format is selected. The visualization application supplies visualizations of the log file data.

  • Patent number: 9405651
Abstract: A computer implemented method includes receiving a log file with a textual description of the operation of a system. The textual description is converted to event waveforms, where each event waveform has a time axis and event indicia. A representation of the event waveforms is supplied.

  • Patent number: 9405610
Abstract: A computer implemented method includes receiving a data stream from a client device. The data stream includes a textual description of the operation of a system. The textual description includes at least one textual instruction. The textual description is converted to event waveforms where each event waveform has a time axis and event indicia. The textual instruction is rendered as an ideogram associated with the event waveforms. A representation of the event waveforms and the ideogram is supplied.
