    Abstract: A container is provided with an annular support flange, which can be flat or rise inwards in a frustum-defining manner. The flange is connected to the container contents-containing base portion in the vicinity of the lower edge of the cover when in the seated position. The flange's upwardly directed surface is smooth. The support flange is used for supporting the fingers during removal of the cover. The normally vertical periphery of the cover is constructed in such a way that upward slippage of the fingers is prevented.
