  • Patent number: 9104674
Abstract: A system, a method, and computer program product is disclosed for time sharing access control to data in a database system and executing a plurality of database processes to avoid contention of the database processes. A data table having a plurality of data groups or partitions is defined via a database management system, and is stored in a computer memory. A plurality of database process/time segments pairs are defined by pairing each of a plurality of database processes with each of a plurality of time segments. The defined pairs are stored in a computer memory. Each of the pairs is associated with at least one of a plurality of data groups or partitions of the data table, and the associations are stored in a computer memory. A request is received by the database management system that one of the database processes be given to access the data table. A time segment for the database process is determined via a computer processor.

  • Patent number: 8645232
Abstract: A system, a method, and computer readable medium for threshold billing of returned items. Billing threshold rules are established and stored in a computer memory and are associated with returned items. A returned item is identified and a computer processor determines if a billing threshold rule has been associated with the returned item. If so, the processor assigns the returned item to a container based on a billing threshold rule associated with the returned item. Information indicating the container to which the returned item has been assigned is stored in the computer memory. The processor determines if the billing threshold amount for the returned item has been reached. If so, the processor determines the status of the container to which the returned item has been assigned.

  • Patent number: 8457992
Abstract: A computer-based system, method and computer program product for determining compliance with contracted pharmacy reimbursement rates. The computer-based system, method and computer program product includes storing pharmacy reimbursement contract information comprised of information regarding a plurality of contracts between a payor and a pharmaceutical product provider. A plurality of claims are received via an electronic communications network. One or more of the plurality of received claims are compared to at least one of the plurality of contracts by identifying, via computer processor, one or more of the plurality of contracts having pharmaceutical reimbursement contract information that is common with one or more of the received claims. If only one contract is identified, the one contract is associated with the received claims. An indication of the association of the one identified contract with one or more of the received claims is stored in a computer memory.

  • Publication number: 20130085829
Abstract: A computer may receive a product code from a POS device. Further, the computer may compare the product code to identifiers for a plurality of fraudulent coupons comprising universal product codes (UPCs) of the fraudulent coupon and a trigger item code of the fraudulent coupon. Responsive to a match between the product code and the identifier of at least one fraudulent coupon, the computer may obtain information associated with the fraudulent coupon. Further, the computer may transmit the information of the at least one fraudulent coupon to the POS device. The POS device may receive the information of the at least one fraudulent coupon and compare the information with a UPC of a coupon scanned at the POS device. Responsive to a match between the fraudulent coupon information and the UPC of the coupon, the computer may generate an alert to notify that the scanned coupon is a fraudulent coupon.
