Abstract: This application is directed to identifying user gestures. One or more first images are captured by a first camera and include a first perspective of a hand. A first hand gesture is identified from the one or more first images. A second hand gesture is identified from one or more second images that are captured by a second camera. e.g., substantially concurrently with the one or more first images. The one or more second images include a second perspective of the hand that is distinct from the first perspective. A final hand gesture of the hand is determined based on the first and second hand gestures and applied to enable an operation on an object. The first and second cameras are included in two distinct electronic devices. The operation is performed by one of the two electronic devices or by a third electronic device distinct from the two electronic devices.

Abstract: A method for identifying human poses in an image, a computer system, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium are provided. The method includes obtaining the image, encoding the image into a feature map, converting the feature map into a plurality of TPDF maps corresponding to a plurality of predefined part types, and generating a global pose map based on the feature map and the plurality of TPDF maps corresponding to the predefined part types. Each TPDF map corresponds to a respective predefined part type and represents a plurality of vectors connecting each position on the image to a closest body part among the one or more body parts of the respective predefined part type. A global pose map is generated based on the feature map and the plurality of TPDF maps, identifying one or more human bodies having a plurality of body parts in a scene of the image.

Abstract: Systems and methods of rendering effects are described herein. A computing device can receive a user selection of an effect to be applied during gameplay of a computer game. The computing device can initiate a framework with which to apply the effect during the gameplay. The computing device can determine scenes during the gameplay to apply the effect through the framework. The computing device can determine graphical elements in the scenes that correspond to non-user interface elements through the framework. The computing system can apply the effect to the graphical elements through the framework.

  • Publication number: 20240037948
Abstract: An electronic device obtains video content and a textual query associated with a video moment in the video content. The video content is divided video segments, and the textual query includes one or more words. Visual features are extracted for each video segment, and textual features are extracted for each word. The visual features and the textual features are combined to generate a similarity matrix in which each element represents a similarity level between a respective video segment and a respective word. Segment-attended sentence features are generated for the textual query based on the textual features and the similarity matrix. The segment-attended sentence features are combined with the visual features of the video segments to determine a plurality of alignment scores, which is used to retrieve a subset of the video content associated with the textual query to be retrieved from the video segments.

Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method of wireless communication is provided. The method may include receiving, from a uncrewed aerial system (UAS) service (USS) network, a UAS reauthentication/reauthorization request after a user equipment (UE) is registered with the USS network by first operations associated with a first USS uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) authentication and authorization (UUAA) procedure. The method may include identifying a network function (NF) element type associated with a UAS reauthentication/reauthorization procedure based on UE UUAA context information. The method may include sending a UE context management request that indicates the NF element type. The method may include receiving a UE context management response that includes an NF identification (ID) of a serving NF element. The method may include sending a UAS reauthentication/reauthorization notification instructing the serving NF to initiate a second UUAA procedure.

Abstract: This application is directed to fusion of two images (e.g., a near infrared (NIR) image and an RGB image) that are captured simultaneously in a scene. A computer system extracts a first luminance component and a first color component from the first image, and extracts a second luminance component from the second image. An infrared emission strength is determined based on the first and second luminance components. The computer system combines the first and second luminance components based on the infrared emission strength to obtain a combined luminance component. The combined luminance component is combined with the first color component to obtain a fused image.
