Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a cross-coupled transistor configuration formed by first and second PMOS transistors defined over first and second p-type diffusion regions, and by first and second NMOS transistors defined over first and second n-type diffusion regions, with each diffusion region electrically connected to a common node. Gate electrodes of the PMOS and NMOS transistors are formed by conductive features which extend in only a first parallel direction. The first and second p-type diffusion regions are formed in a spaced apart manner, such that no single line of extent that extends perpendicular to the first parallel direction intersects both the first and second p-type diffusion regions. The first and second n-type diffusion regions are formed in a spaced apart manner, such that no single line of extent that extends perpendicular to the first parallel direction intersects both the first and second n-type diffusion regions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for deriving a relationship between minimum ground clearance (MGC) and inertial sensor data. A regression model may be generated by collecting tri-axial angular velocity and acceleration data from inertial sensors and MGC data from optical motion capture systems during a walking trial. A linear, quadratic, interaction, stepwise interaction, or another regression model may be generated. The regression model may estimate the MGC as a function of one or more parameters measured by or derived from the inertial sensor data. The regression model may be used to calculate an estimate of the MGC based on inertial sensor data collected from one or more individuals.

Abstract: There is provided a method and server for retrieving data from a data storage system including a plurality of storage nodes. The method may include sending a multicast message to at least a subset of the storage nodes. The multicast message may include a request for the subset of storage nodes to send the data. The multicast message may further include a data identifier, indicating the data to be retrieved. Moreover, the method may include receiving data from a first storage node of the subset of storage nodes. The data received from the first storage node may correspond to the requested data. At least the act of sending a multicast message or the act of receiving data from the first storage node may be performed on a condition that an estimated size of the data is less than a predetermined value.

Abstract: An orthopedic device is provided for treatment of Hallux Valgus. The orthopedic device includes a main part (3) in the form of an elastic sleeve, intended to exert a restraining force (F1) locally on the metatarsals (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5), a distal part (5) for encapsulating the big toe, and a connecting band (6) between the main part (3) and the distal part (5), intended to be tensioned in order to exert a lateral force (F2) on the big toe that is directed inwards in relation to the axis ? of the human body. A pad (4) is secured to the inner wall of the device, creating a localized increased thickness, and arranged to be positioned against the first metatarsal of the big toe. The pad acts as an anchor during the application of the lateral force, in different positions of the foot, thus allowing the tensile force on the connecting band (6) to be adjusted. The combined restraining and lateral forces serve to re-align the joint during walking.
Abstract: An advertisement assembly is configured to be removably secured to a structure. The assembly includes a mounting sub-assembly configured to be removably secured to the structure, and a plurality of advertising members secured to the mounting sub-assembly. The plurality of advertising members are configured to be perpendicular to a surface of the structure. Each of the plurality of advertising members may include planar surfaces connected to front and rear edges. Graphics are displayed on the planar surfaces. The graphics are configured to be viewed from a first point of view or perspective. The plurality of advertising members provide a relatively unobstructed view through the assembly from a second point of view or perspective.
