Abstract: A light transmitting roof, skylight or interior floor/ceiling includes plural panels each having a light transmitting plate assembly formed of a glass plate laminated to a plastic plate having a lower thermal conductivity or a glass plate supported on a grid of glass blocks. The glass and plastic plates are secured together by a silicone adhesive disposed in a peripheral ledge or channel formed in one of the plate members. A perimeter frame is secured to the plate assembly, is inset from the side edges of the plate assembly and may include a grid of divider members for aesthetic and light transmitting purposes or for supporting the glass blocks. The perimeter frame is secured to the laminated plate assembly by angle members and the frame is secured to a substructure such as a grid of beams by respective angle members.
Abstract: A glass block panel construction and method of fabrication useful for decorative and functional purposes. The panel includes a frame rigidly assembled from interlocking components to form a grid-like pattern of adjacent pockets, each pocket sized to receive and support a glass block by way of support lips extending around each pocket, the blocks bonded to the frame and therefore to one another in structurally stable and weather sealed relation.

Improved thermal condition characteristics are provided by serpentine thermal conduction paths through members of the frame.
Abstract: A floor assembly for a building structure includes a plurality of support members defining a horizontal perimeter supported by the building structure. A grid formed of a plurality of horizontal grid members extends between the support members. Pocket surfaces on adjoining ones of the grid members define pockets for glass blocks. The glass blocks define horizontal glass floor surface supported by the grid members, with the grid members being supported by the support members.
Abstract: A corner assembly for a skylight frame includes first and second frame members having mitered ends and inner and outer surfaces. At least one inner joint member has first and second wings extending from a central rib. At least one outer joint member has two lateral members end walls defining a longitudinal, centrally located groove between the lateral members. The groove walls are closely interfitted with the rib, with the wings contacting end portions of the frame member inner surfaces and with the lateral members contacting end portions of the frame member outer surfaces.
