Patent number: 8485952Abstract: A leg elevator is disclosed. The leg elevator includes a base having a lower leg end and an upper leg end, a portion of the base having at least one support retaining device. A lower leg support is provided. A height adjustment mechanism is also provided having a support leg pivotally attached at a first end to the lower leg support. The support leg has a second end attached to a support bar extending perpendicular to the support leg. The support bar is removably engaged with the at least one support retaining device such that a height of the lower leg support above the base may be adjusted. An upper leg adjustment mechanism is operably connected to the upper leg end of the base for adjusting a distance between the upper leg end of the base and the lower leg support. An upper leg support is operably attached to the upper leg adjustment mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2011Date of Patent: July 16, 2013Assignee: Innovative Ellavations, LLCInventor: Jon C. Patent number: 7946783Abstract: An adjustment mechanism is provided. The adjustment mechanism has a housing, a clearance portion, first and second pin members telescopically received within the housing, a telescopic engagement mechanism mounted in the clearance portion and adapted to telescopically move the pin members, and a locking mechanism adapted to lock the pin members in a rigid position. A locking adjustment assembly is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2010Date of Patent: May 24, 2011Assignee: Innovative Ellavations, LLCInventor: Jon C. Gehrke

Patent number: 7753610Abstract: An adjustment mechanism for an appendage elevation system, the adjustment mechanism comprising a housing, a clearance portion, first and second pin members telescopically received within the housing, a telescopic engagement mechanism mounted in the clearance portion and adapted to telescopically move the pin members, and a locking mechanism adapted to lock the pin members in a rigid position. One embodiment of the locking mechanism includes segments in the housing which restrict movement of the telescopic engagement mechanism. An alternative embodiment of the locking mechanism includes a spring button attached to a pin member which engages an aperture in the housing to restrict movement or the telescopic engagement mechanism. A further alternative embodiment of the locking mechanism includes a sleeve which engages the telescopic engagement mechanism to restrict movement. An appendage elevation system and a method for use of the adjustment mechanism are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2008Date of Patent: July 13, 2010Assignee: Innovative Ellavations, LLCInventor: Jon C. Patent number: 7381172Abstract: A device for support and elevation of the lower extremities. More specifically, the invention is a leg elevator that provides calibrated, adjustable support for the upper leg, the lower leg and the foot. The leg elevator is adjustable to many different positions through the use of three independent adjustment mechanisms. The upper leg portion of the leg elevator can be adapted to accommodate people that have upper legs of various lengths. The height of the lower leg portion is also adjustable, and the relative angular position of the upper and lower leg can be varied from a generally flat position, to a substantially bent position. The invention can be used to provide elevation for either leg separately or for both legs simultaneously. The leg elevator is lightweight, easily disinfected, and can be collapsed to a relatively flat position for ease in transport and storage.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2005Date of Patent: June 3, 2008Assignee: Innovative Ellavations, LLCInventor: Jon C.
