Abstract: A method and apparatus for handling inter-node connectivity in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The method includes transmitting a request from a first network node to a second network node to stop aggregating a SCell (Secondary Cell) for a UE (User Equipment); wherein the first network node controls the SCell and the second network node controls PCell (Primary Cell) of the UE. Also, another method and apparatus for handling inter-node connectivity in a wireless communication system are disclosed.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for allocating resources for D2D communication are disclosed. The method includes a WCN allocating dedicated resource for a first D2D data session and common resource for a second D2D data session in a user equipment (UE), wherein the first D2D data session and the second D2D data session are active simultaneously in the UE. The method could also include the WCN receiving a corresponding request message from the UE for establishing each D2D data session. The method could further include the WCN transmitting a response message to the UE in response to reception of the corresponding request message, wherein the response message includes resource information that indicates which type of resource is allocated for each D2D data session.

Abstract: A method for Multicast Control Channel (MCCH) acquisition in a User Equipment (UE) of a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes receiving at least one MBMS service, expressing interest in reception of a new MBMS service, and deciding whether to monitor an MCCH notification according to whether the MBSFN area which broadcasts the new MBMS service is among the MBSFN areas in which the UE is receiving the at least one MBMS services.
Abstract: A method and apparatus of for implementing a D2D service are disclosed. The method includes the UE receiving an indication to prohibit a transmission of a RRC connection request message for requesting a D2D dedicated resource for transmission. The method further includes the UE deciding whether to prohibit the transmission of the RRC connection request message at least based on the indication.
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed to allocating and handling peer discovery resources. One method includes a wireless network allocating multiple sets of peer discovery resources, wherein different sets of peer discovery resources are used by user equipments (UEs) to transmit/receive peer discovery signals for different uses. Another method includes UE receiving a configuration of peer discovery resources from a system information message of a cell, wherein the configuration contains multiple sets of peer discovery resources and different sets of peer discovery resources are used by the UE to receive peer discovery signals for different uses. The method further includes the UE determining which set of peer discovery resources to receive peer discovery signals. The method also includes the UE receiving the peer discovery signals at a set of peer discovery resources determined by the UE.
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for small cell enhancement in a wireless communication system. The method includes having a user equipment (UE) connected to a Macro evolved Node B (eNB. The method further includes configuring the UE to establish a very first Small Cell through a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, wherein the very first Small Cell belongs to a Small Cell eNB different from the Macro eNB.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for improving low-cost MTC (Machine-Type Communication) devices in a wireless communication system. The method includes broadcasting, in a system information, a first information used for cell re-selection. The method further includes providing a second information, for a neighboring cell or a frequency, that is used for cell re-selection.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for implementing small cell enhancements in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The method includes a first eNB (evolved Node B) controlling a first cell, wherein the first cell is serving a UE (User Equipment). The method further includes the first eNB configuring a second cell to serve the UE, wherein the second cell is controlled by a second eNB. The method also includes the first eNB allocating a measurement gap configuration to the UE. In addition, the method includes the first eNB sending the measurement gap configuration to the second eNB.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for DL-UL (Downlink-Uplink) interference management and traffic adaptation. The method includes a UE (User Equipment) being connected with an eNB (evolved Node B), and is configured with a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) operation and an eIMTA operation. The method also includes the UE monitors Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) in a subframe for a potential scheduling from the eNB when a DRX timer associated with the DRX operation is running, and the UE increments the running DRX timer by one. The method further includes the UE monitors PDCCH in the subframe when the DRX timer is running, and does not increment the DRX timer by one when the subframe is a DL subframe as indicated by an explicit signaling associated with the eIMTA operation.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed to handle UL information. The method includes configuring a UE (User Equipment) with multiple serving cells. The method further includes transmitting, from the UE, in a subframe i a first UL control information on a physical channel of a first UL serving cell. The method also includes transmitting, from the UE, in the subframe i a second UL control information on a physical channel of a second UL serving cell, wherein if the total transmit power of the UE exceeds {circumflex over (P)}CMAX(i), the UE would scale down the transmit power of the physical channel with lower power priority based on types of the first UL control information and the second UL control information.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for handling buffer status reporting in a wireless communication system includes providing a first buffer size level table having a first maximum buffer size value, and providing a second buffer size level table having a second maximum buffer size value greater than the first maximum buffer size value. The method includes using the second buffer size level table when carrier aggregation (CA) is configured with more than one UL carrier component (CC) or when more than one UL CC is activated. To indicate whether to use the second buffer size level table or the first buffer size level table, an indication can be used in one of a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message, a Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element or a corresponding subheader of the MAC Control Element.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed to prevent RAN (Radio Access Network) overload. In one embodiment, the method comprises initiating, at a User Equipment (UE), a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection establishment procedure to establish a RRC connection to a cell. The method also comprises initiating, at the User Equipment (UE), a Random Access procedure due to a transmission of a RRCConnectionRequest message for the RRC connection establishment procedure, wherein an establishment cause in the RRCConnectionRequest message is set to delay tolerant access, and the UE stops the Random Access procedure if the UE considers access to the cell as barred based on barring information for delay tolerant access of the cell.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed to indicate PPI in a wireless communication network. The method includes enabling a PPI feature. The method further includes taking a last reported PPI into account when the UE wants to indicate a current PPI for a first time on a current serving cell but not a first time since a full configuration was performed. The method further includes ignoring or not taking into account the last reported PPI when the UE wants to indicate the current PPI for a first time since a full configuration was performed.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for reducing signaling overhead in a wireless communication network. In one embodiment, the method is implemented in a network node. The method includes transmitting a first indication to a UE (User Equipment) to tell the UE to remember a configuration which is currently used after the UE enters RRC_IDLE. In an alternative embodiment, the method is implemented in a UE. The method includes (i) receiving a first indication from the network node to tell the UE to remember a configuration which is currently used after the UE enters RRC_IDLE, and (ii) retaining and not releasing or discarding the configuration upon leaving RRC_CONNECTED.

Abstract: A method for handling MBMS dynamic scheduling information in a network terminal of a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes steps of generating a MAC Control Element for carrying an MBMS dynamic scheduling information, the MAC Control Element containing at least one fields, each corresponding to one MBMS service transmitted on an MCH, for indicating an ending point of sub-frames used by the corresponding MBMS services in a scheduling period of the MCH; and setting a first field to a specific value to indicate there is no sub-frame scheduled for the corresponding MBMS service in the scheduling period when the corresponding MBMS service has no data for transmission in the scheduling period.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for improving frequency prioritization in a wireless communication network. The method includes the UE setting a priority on whether to prioritize MBMS reception over unicast. The method also includes the UE deciding whether to follow a redirection information or a de-prioritization information based on the UE's setting of prioritization of MBMS reception over unicast.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for changing Time Division Duplex (TDD) Uplink (UL)-Downlink (DL) configuration. According to one embodiment, the method includes receiving by the UE a signaling for TDD UL-DL reconfiguration and changes from an old TDD UL-DL configuration to a new TDD UL-DL configuration. The method further includes considering by the UE before a specific timing that a number of Physical Hybrid ARQ Indicator Channel (PHICH) groups is determined by the old UL-DL configuration at least for overlapped non-UL subframes between the new TDD UL-DL configuration and the old TDD UL-DL configuration.

A method and apparatus for providing a measurement report from a UE to a network in a wireless communication system according to another embodiment includes triggering a measurement report, and omitting an additional measurement result in the measurement report if the measurement report is triggered by inter-Radio Access Technology measurement (inter-RAT measurement).
