Patents Assigned to Inoue Seisakusho (Mfg.) Co., Ltd.
  • Patent number: 5150968
Abstract: A planetary mixer having blades which conduct a planetary motion within a tank. A head vertically movably provided above the tank has a drive shaft extending downwardly. The drive shaft has a rotary body, which is provided with three driven shafts at positions corresponding to the respective apexes of an equilateral triangle. The blade is provided at the leading end of each driven shaft. When the rotary body is rotated by the drive shaft, a planetary gearing causes the three blades to rotate on the respective axes of the driven shafts and to simultaneously revolve them around the drive shaft, so that they conduct the planetary motion.

  • Patent number: 5076506
Abstract: A dispersing and grinding apparatus disperses and grinds material by the use of a particulate grinding medium. A separator installed at the discharge end of the apparatus separates the processed material from the grinding medium. The separator comprises a stationary stator, and a rotatable rotor mounted so that the rim area of the rotor is spaced from and faces the stator to define therebetween a small gap which is large enough to permit the processed material to pass therethrough small enough to prevent the grinding medium from passing therethrough. The rotor has on its underside a plurality of protruding guide portions configured as arc-shaped protrusions which forcibly guide and disperse the grinding medium tending to collect and concentrate at the rim area of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 5069393
Abstract: A dispersing and grinding apparatus comprises a vessel having an inlet for receiving a material to be processed and an outlet for discharging the processed material. A rotor is rotatably disposed within the vessel and positioned relative to the inner wall of the vessel to define therebetween a narrow, annular flow path for the passage therethrough of a mixture of the material and a grinding medium. The rotor has a plurality of axially extending grooves on the periphery thereof for guiding the mixture in the circumferential direction as the rotor rotates. The rotor is separated into a plurality of processing zones in the axial direction thereof, and the grooves in each processing zone are phase shifted in the circumferential direction with respect to the grooves in adjacent processing zones.

The separator comprises a stationary stator, and a rotatable rotor mounted so that the rim area of the rotor is spaced from and faces the stator to define therebetween a small gap which is large enough to permit the processed material to pass therethrough though small enough to prevent the grinding medium from passing therethrough. The rotor has a plurality of protruding portions which extend radially outwardly from the rotor and which effectively centrifugally disperse the grinding medium which tends to collect and concentrate at the rim area of the rotor. The protruding portions are removably fastened to the rotor, either as separate protruding members or as part of a one-piece structure, so that the protruding portions can be removed and replaced as they become worn.

  • Patent number: 4919347
Abstract: A dispersing and grinding apparatus comprises a vessel having an inlet at one end for supplying material which is to be ground and dispersed, and an outlet at the other end to discharge the ground and dispersed material. A rotor is rotatably disposed within the vessel and coacts with the inner wall of the vessel to define therebetween a narrow annular flow path through which the material flows from the inlet to the outlet of the vessel. An array of guide members are formed on the inner wall of the vessel or on the outer peripheral surface of the rotor for guiding the flow of the material-grinding medium mixture so that the predominant flow of the mixture in the narrow annular flow path occurs in the circumferential direction. The guide members have forward and rearward guide surfaces for imparting forward and rearward motions to the mixture as it flows circumferentially about the annular flow path.

  • Patent number: 4856717
Abstract: A grinding medium is filled in a grinding vessel of a dispersing and grinding apparatus. The medium is agitated by means of a cylindrical rotor provided within the vessel. A material entered into the vessel is ground and dispersed in liquid by means of motion of the medium. The rotor has a forward screw on the outer surface or the inner surface thereof for inducing the medium from an inflow conduit to the direction of an outflow conduit, and has a backward screw on the inner surface or the outer surface thereof for inducing the medium from the outflow conduit to the inflow conduit. The medium circulates within the vessel under guidance of these screws. The rotor rotates directly by a shaft extending within the vessel, or by an electromagnetic inductive action of rotating magnetic field provided either on the outer or inner surface of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 4813623
Abstract: A dispersing and grinding apparatus has a vessel for receiving a material to be processed and a grinding medium. A rotationally driven rotary shaft extends into the vessel and carries an agitator for dispersing, grinding and agitating the material within the vessel by the cooperative actions of the rotating agitator and the grinding medium. A separator removably installed at the discharge end of the vessel separates the processed material from the grinding medium so that the processed material is discharged from the vessel while the grinding medium is retained in the vessel for re-use. A mounting structures removably attached to the apparatus rotatably supports the rotary shaft and the separator. The mounting structure includes a sleeve removably slidably inserted onto a portion of the rotary shaft which extends out of the vessel. The sleeve is rotatably mounted on the mounting structure and releasably connected to the rotary shaft to rotate therewith.

  • Patent number: 4729664
Abstract: An in-line mixer for insertion in a fluid pipeline to mix the fluid flowing through the pipeline comprises a rotary tubular casing composed of magnetic material and rotatably disposed within a housing fitted in the pipeline. A plurality of mixing elements are disposed within the tubular casing and project radially outwardly toward the inner wall of the casing. A set of electromagnetic coils are disposed circumferentially around the outside of the tubular casing and produce a rotating magnetic field to induce rotation of the casing through magnetic coupling of the rotating magnetic field and the magnetic material of the casing. The fluid flowing through the tubular casing is thoroughly stirred and mixed by the combined actions of the mixing elements and the rotating casing, and stagnation of the fluid near the inner wall of the casing is effectively eliminated due to rotation of the casing.

  • Patent number: 4600313
Abstract: A kneading machine comprises a cylindrical container with a supply opening and a discharge opening, a rotational shaft disposed on the axis of the container, and a plurality of blades on the shaft. Each blade comprises a pair of side plates and a kneading blade. The kneading blade is formed with a roll-in angle, and in the case of a batch-type kneading machine, both side plates are disposed at a feed angle to effect axially reciprocating movement of material for more efficient kneading. In the case of a continuous process kneading machine, the supply and discharge are axially displaced, and some of the blades comprise side plates perpendicular to the rotation axis, while other blades have an angled side plate for effecting gradual axial feed of material from supply to discharge. The blades are replaceable on the shaft. The rate of feed, and therefore the speed at which kneading takes place, can be adjusted by selecting appropriate numbers and positions for the blades with angled side plates.
