Patent number: 10688926Abstract: The present invention is directed to a compact light-emitting diode arrangement which can be used generically but, by reason of the compact design, is advantageous in particular for use in a vehicle. For instance, the compact light-emitting diode arrangement can be used e.g. as interior lighting in a car. The present invention is also directed to a vehicle component having the compact light-emitting diode arrangement. Furthermore, a method for producing the compact light-emitting diode arrangement is proposed as is a computer program product including control commands which implement the proposed method.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2017Date of Patent: June 23, 2020Assignee: Inova Semiconductors GmbHInventor: Roland Neumann

Patent number: 10548203Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method for bidirectional communication between a command unit and a plurality of LED control units connected thereto. In accordance with the invention, it is possible to supply control commands to LED control units with high speed, or to return execution results from these control units to a command unit. Therefore, the present invention provides for a highly efficient and thus highly performant method for communication between several serially connected control units. Furthermore, the invention is directed to a respective device for bidirectional communication as well as a computer program product including control commands for implementation of the method.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2017Date of Patent: January 28, 2020Assignee: Inova Semiconductors GmbHInventor: Roland Neumann

Patent number: 8000350Abstract: A system for reducing the bandwidth of a data stream transmitted via a digital multimedia link does not result in the loss of data. The system encodes control signals such that control words are generated each time the status of the control signals change. The system multiplexes payload data and the control words to generate the data stream. If no blanking period of the payload data is present, the data stream comprises payload data. During the blanking period, the data stream comprises the control words. The data stream is transmitted across the digital multimedia link using transmit and receive FIFO memories. The transmitted data stream is then demultiplexed, and the payload data and the control words are separated from each other. The control words are decoded to recover the control signals. The system can transmit payload data conforming to the video formats VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA and UXGA.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2006Date of Patent: August 16, 2011Assignee: INOVA Semiconductors GmbHInventors: Michael Riedel, Roland Neumann
