Abstract: An ironing table intended for use with a steam-type ironing device includes at least one leg, in particular two legs (1, 2) articulated with respect to one another, supporting a board (4) covered with an outer cover (12), wherein: the board (4) is made of a wooden material; and an intermediate layer (15) of plastics material is arranged between the board (4) made of wooden material and the outer cover (12), the layer (15) of plastics material including, on the opposite side to the leg(s), a metallising layer (16), particularly an aluminium layer.
