Patents Assigned to Insilco Corporation
  • Patent number: 6145589
Abstract: A manifold for heat exchangers with a manifold segment having slots which are perpendicular to the tube axis and spaced in the longitudinal direction and separated by webs, into which hollow flat tubes can be inserted and joined to the contact surface of the respective slot. The webs each have a pair of stampings to strengthen the material on each side of each web and the webs are relatively flat in shape such that the cross-section of the manifold segment has a generally D-shaped profile. At least one baffle is inserted in the manifold segment, centered between a pair of adjacent slots. The baffle has a principle circular edge and a truncated edge so as to have a truncated circular profile substantially corresponding to the approximately D-shaped profile of the manifold segment.

  • Patent number: 5294208
Abstract: A notebook-type personal organizer comprises a multi-ring binder to which a plurality of leaves is connected. Plastic bags are connected to the binder, and each bag contains a pad of adhesive-backed paper sheets. The bags are adhered to a stiff posting sheet by means of a releasable adhesive to keep the bags from sagging and tearing. The user removes the pads from the bags and inserts them into pockets formed in a front panel of the organizer. Once a note is written on a paper sheet, the paper sheet can be removed from the pad and then adhered to the posting sheet for future reference. The posting sheet can be removed from, and inserted onto, the binder rings without opening those rings, and can be used as a straight edge or a distance-measuring ruler, and also to mark the proper day among the calendar pages of the organizer.

  • Patent number: 4763795
Abstract: A desk top card file includes an elongate one piece base having an arcuate longitudinal profile. File cards are releasably carried by a pair of parallel longitudinal rails attached to the base. An end plate is hinged to each end of the base. The end plates are movable from a substantially parallel vertical orientation where they compact a stack of cards when the card file is not in use, to an open position, rendering the individual cards accessible for selection and reading. The hinges carry a resilient friction restraint which maintains each end plate at a selected angle. Variable friction forces determined by the profile of cam surfaces of the end plates minimize wear of the friction restraint while maintaining adequate retention forces on the card stack. The file includes a pivotable stand which is mounted to the underside of the base at one end and is opened to tilt the file toward the user.

  • Patent number: 4596843
Abstract: A high solids coating composition which comprises 10-96 percent by weight resin solids of a low molecular weight epoxy oligomer, 2-35 percent by weight crosslinking glycoluril-formaldehyde resin and a primary sulfonic acid catalyst. The oligomer is condensed upon heating into a high molecular weight polymer film with simultaneous crosslinking with the crosslinking agent to provide the desired film properties.
