Abstract: A system and method for communicating with a battery charging assembly at an external communication device across a communication network. The method and system comprises: receiving status information relating to the battery charging assembly at the communication device. In response to the status information, the method comprises generating an input indicating a request for controlling operation of the battery charging assembly and comprising control parameters associated with controlling said operation. The method further comprises providing the input to the battery charging assembly for subsequently affecting operation of the battery charging assembly in accordance with the generated input.
