  • Patent number: 12381734
Abstract: A method for implementing linear view-change in a BFT protocol running on a distributed system including n replicas, wherein no more than t of the n replicas are faulty, and wherein the BFT protocol enables the non-faulty replicas to agree on how to sequence execution of a plurality of service operations originating from one or more clients. The method including executing, among and by the n replicas, a phase ? of the BFT protocol, communicating instances of a lock certificate being associated with said phase; and if 2t+1 communicating instances of said lock certificate are not received by the n replicas within a predetermined timeout period, initiating a view-change with at least the following step: if said current phase ? is different than 1, each replica Pi(i=1 . . . n) sets ?i the highest phase up to said current phase.

  • Patent number: 12144614
Abstract: N-type polymer based electrochemical devices include one or more source electrodes, one or more drain electrodes, one or more channels, a gate electrode, and an electrolyte solution are disclosed. The channels include one or more n-type polymers and one or more enzymes. The gate electrode includes one or more n-type polymers and one or more enzymes. The source and the drain electrodes are electrically connected by the corresponding channel. The electrolyte solution contains one or more metabolites capable of reacting with the one or more enzymes in the channel and the gate electrode and is in electrical contact with the channel and the gate electrode. Saturation current that flows through the channel increases when the metabolites react with the enzymes to produce electrons, which are directly transferred to the n-type polymers at the gate electrode and the channel. Methods of making and using the n-type electrochemical device are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11984912
Abstract: On the downlink, a mobile radio signal transmitted by a base station and a television signal may be received over the downlink by an external television aerial located on a building roof. After reception, these signals may be transmitted via a wired communication link to a processing module located in a confined space in which the terminal is located. The mobile radio signal may be extracted, amplified and sent by the processing module so as to be received by the terminal. On the downlink, the terminal may transmit a mobile radio signal to a base station. Alternatively, the terminal may transmit a radiofrequency signal received by the processing module which amplifies it and transmits it to a base station, with or without frequency transposition, and with or without format conversion.

  • Patent number: 11423607
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for generating enriched light sources by utilizing surface-centric representations of three-dimensional surfaces. Specifically, the disclosed system utilizes a surface-centric re-parameterization that combines geometric and algebraic components of a sphere to model different light source types in a continuous range of lighting configurations. The disclosed systems utilize a set of intuitive parameters to determine a shape and emission parameters for generating an enriched light source. Additionally, the disclosed system provides a set of interactive light source controls to modify a position, orientation, shape, emittance, and lighting attenuation over distance of a light source within a three-dimensional environment. The disclosed system determines the light source controls based on sets of three-dimensional interaction primitives to control one or more parameters of the light source.

  • Patent number: 11372999
Abstract: The present invention proposes a method and associated device for inserting tuples into a watermarked database without having to remove the watermarking from all or a part of the database before inserting each tuple. To achieve this, the invention consists of storing, in watermarking metadata, the type of group or class wherein the tuples of the database have been distributed during the watermarking of the database. For each type of group or class, a rule defining a modification of the value of at least one property on which the watermarking is carried is also stored in the watermarking metadata, depending on an insertion force parameter. Each tuple to be inserted is watermarked by applying the modification rule according to the group to which the tuple belongs. Due to the rule used, the insertion of the watermarked tuple does not modify the type of group it belongs to.

  • Patent number: 11270507
Abstract: The disclosure describes one or more embodiments of systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that utilize a sharpness map that includes information on how to filter a displacement map on a per-texel basis to preserve sharp features while sampling a displacement map. For instance, the disclosed systems utilize a sharpness map that encodes combinable patterns to represent discontinuities of features within a displacement map. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems generate a sharpness map having texels encoded with discontinuity configurations that are referenced to control filtering (e.g., via interpolation) of a displacement map such that sharp features within the displacement map are not lost (due to smoothing during interpolation).
