Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of toxicological evaluation of a candidate substance on at least one tissue or organ, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: (a) obtaining a bioartificial tissue or organ by simulation or modelling of the metabolic activity of said tissue or organ by at least one bioreactor; (b) exposure of said bioartificial tissue or organ to said substance; (c) observation of the metabolic response of the bioartificial tissue or organ and acquisition without a priori of an associated multidimensional data set; (d) identification by means of a method of multivariate statistical analysis of the components of the multidimensional data set which are quantitatively correlated with predetermined variables; (e) generation of a predictive model on the basis of the components of the data set that are actually retained; (f) testing of the predictive nature of said model by at least one statistical method of estimating reliability; (g) identification of the metabolic response of the

  • Patent number: 5753128
Abstract: Detector of the filament type for determining a static or dynamic characteristic of an ambient medium, constituted by a resistive component intended to be heated by the Joule effect in the medium, and an interface process region suitable for reacting with the medium by a physico-chemical with an effect, depending on the characteristic to be determined, on the electrical characteristic of the interface region, in which there is a supporting member through which there is at least one aperture and at least one filament including the resistive component, composed of one or more thin films and a central portion located in the aperture and end portions via which the central portion is connected to the supporting member.

  • Patent number: 5709792
Abstract: For identifying one of a plurality of known gases in a gaseous mixture ba on air a single catalytic transducer is placed in the gaseous medium. The catalytic transducer is heated to a lower threshold temperature at which the oxidizable gas is oxidized little or not at all and a first value of a parameter characteristic of the thermal state of the transducer is captured. The catalytic transducer is then heated to an upper threshold temperature at which the oxidizable gas oxidizes significantly in contact with the catalytic transducer and a second value of the parameter characteristic of the thermal state of the transducer is captured. Using a predetermined law, a response signal representative of the gaseous medium is produced from the difference between the second and first values of the parameter characteristic of the thermal state of the catalytic transducer. The catalytic transducer is allowed to cool below the lower threshold temperature and the above operations are repeated cyclically.
