  • Patent number: 9664802
Abstract: A simplified device is provided for analyzing radiation spectrum. A detector absorbs radioactive particles for generating signal pulses. A signal converter is connected with the detector to discriminate and amplify the signal pulses to be converted into digital pulses. The microcomputer single-chip is connected with the signal converter to measure dual-channel pulse widths for statistical analysis and to measure pulse free count. Under a very low power mode, a pair of information comprising random physical memory spectrum and pulse count are generated. The microcomputer single-chip has a low cost and can be abundantly supplied. Thus, by using the microcomputer single-chip as a touch-driven application, a reading module replaces the high-frequency precision clock. The reading module is built-in for charging voltages with constant-current pulses. Consequently, spectrum analysis is performed for the signal pulses of gamma ray detected by the detector.

  • Patent number: 9630166
Abstract: A method is provided for fabricating a catalyst carrier. At first, aluminum hydroxide is used for forming an alumina powder. The alumina powder is mixed with carbon nanotubes and a complex additive to be shaped into a cake. The cake is kneaded into a noodle-like shape to be hot-dried. Then, calcination is processed in a furnace under 1200 celsius degrees (° C.) with air passed through. The crystal structure remains without phase change. A catalyst carrier of ?-alumina having nano-scaled pores is formed. The catalyst carrier is a powdery material made into different three-dimensional forms. The catalyst carrier thus fabricated is suitable for generating hydrogen through methane reformation. The catalyst carrier has a methane conversion greater than 99 percents. The catalyst carrier will not be crumbled under 800° C. for 4000 hours without carbon deposit.

  • Patent number: 9608286
Abstract: Pipelines are used for charging and discharging power in a redox flow battery (RFB). Inner tube made of ion-exchange material is inserted into each of the pipelines. Conductive sleeves are installed on inside and outside the inner tube. Anode electrolyte and cathode electrolyte flow into corresponding ones of the pipelines of the inner tube. Thereby, wires connected with the conductive sleeves are extended out to be used as electrodes. On charging power, the anode electrolyte and the cathode electrolyte flow forwardly; yet, on discharging power, the anode electrolyte and the cathode electrolyte flow backwardly. Thus, the present invention uses pipelines to add or supplement function of charging/discharging power. Even when the RFB is damaged or failed, power is still charged/discharged for effectively improving or ensuring efficiency of the battery.

  • Patent number: 9567977
Abstract: The present invention is a device for controlling torque output of wind turbine blades, which can effectively keep the torque output of the blades of a wind turbine in constant and maintain the output stability of the wind turbine further. The present invention does not need any external power input and measurement signal generated from other devices and is a fully passive device which keeps the output of a wind turbine in constant. When the wind speed varies in the rated range, the present invention would adjust the pitch angle of the blades correspondingly and keep the output of a wind turbine in constant. When the wind speed is not in the rated range, the present invention would stop the rotation of the blades, so the output stability of the wind turbine can be kept, and the durability of the wind turbine can also be maintained.
