    Abstract: A self-generating power supply apparatus includes a power generating body, an energy harvester, and a power consumer. The power generating body generates an electromagnetic field when a force is applied, an energy of the electromagnetic field is received by the energy harvester and subsequently transferred to the power consumer; or alternatively, the energy harvester is not provided and the energy of the electromagnetic field is directly received and used by the power consumer. The energy of the electromagnetic field is harvested by the energy harvester contacting or not contacting the power generating body, and then is converted into electrical energy, which is transferred out in a wired or wireless manner to enable self-generating power supply for the apparatus. The self-generating power supply apparatus has an immeasurable impact on the development in the fields such as wearable devices, small mobile communication devices, Internet of Things, new energy etc.

    Abstract: EGCG-Zn2+ molecular complexes exhibit a significantly higher affinity than the EGCG molecule alone or Zn2+ alone for binding to different SARS-CoV-2 molecular targets and show virtually complete antiviral suppressive activity (>99%) against this virus in experimental models of infection. EGCG-Zn2+ complexes have a lower toxicity than EGCG alone in transfected human cells. The combination of EGCG and Zn2+, significantly improved some key pharmacokinetic parameters of EGCG in humans. Thus, these complexes can be used as a new broad-spectrum method for chemoprophylaxis or treatment of viral diseases by using formulations containing a composition of EGCG and Zn2+ or EGCG-Zn2+ complexes in sufficient amount to reach a blood concentration with antiviral effect, minimizing safety issues in humans.

Devices include three regions: a top lid, bottom lid, and flexible linker or hinge between them. A device has an open configuration in which the top and bottom lid are separated, and a closed configuration in which they are bound close together. Binding domains or variations of the target molecule are fixed to a device so that when the molecular event occurs, the device switches from open to closed, or vice versa, which generates a signal. Devices may carry DNA tags to enable separation of open and closed devices and barcoding for multiplexed detection.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for reduced-medicine treatment for post-harvest preservation of bayberries. The method includes: (1) packing after picking: placing ripe bayberries into a skeletonized injection-molded package after picking, the bayberries being spaced apart and evenly arranged in the skeletonized injection-molded package; (2) low-concentration peroxyacetic acid solution treatment: spraying a peroxyacetic acid solution with a concentration of 0.1% onto a surface of the bayberries; and (3) atmospheric plasma treatment: performing an atmospheric plasma treatment on the bayberries treated with the peroxyacetic acid solution for 5 minutes, and temporarily storing the bayberries in a refrigerated warehouse at 4° C. after the treatment. By combining peroxyacetic acid with atmospheric plasma, an amount of peroxyacetic acid solution used can be effectively reduced and efficacy of the treatment can be increased.
