Method for producing porous particles by means of a hybrid process of atomisation via drying-cooling
Patent number: 11746207Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing particles with pore structures, by means of a hybrid process of atomization via drying-cooling, from a water-in-oil-type emulsion of a composition of a non-solubilized and in melt state matrix. The production method comprises: i) forming a water-in-oil-type emulsion consisting of a composition of a solvent that is aqueous or soluble in water (dispersed phase) and a composition of a non-solubilized and in melt state matrix (continuous phase); ii) forming discrete particles from the emulsion via atomization, using a flow of gas at high pressure and temperature; iii) immediately removing the solvent via evaporation; and iv) subsequently cooling the formed discrete particles, resulting in porous particles that are substantially free from solvents.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2018Date of Patent: September 5, 2023Assignees: CENTRO DE INVESTIGACION EN QUIMICA APLICADA, INSTITUTO DE ECOLOGIA, A.C.Inventors: Carlos Jose Espinoza Gonzalez, Noe Benjamin Navarro Guajardo, Edgar Miguel Garcia Carrillo, Oliverio Santiago Rodriguez Fernandez, Salvador Fernandez Tavizon, Claudia Anahi Perez Torres -
Patent number: 11639319Abstract: The present invention relates to fertilizer particles encapsulated in modified chitosan and a method of obtaining them. The particles described in this invention allow a controlled, moderate, or gradual release of an active material from a reserve substrate to another medium, in order to increase the effectiveness of the active material by prolonging its action over time. This invention is characterized in that the active components of said formulations are capable of causing a synergistic effect, considerably increasing the growth and development of plants.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2020Date of Patent: May 2, 2023Assignees: INSTITUTO DE ECOLOGIA, A.C., CENTRO DE INVESTIGACIÓN EN QUIMICA APLICADAInventors: Claudia Anahi Perez Torres, Nicolaza Pariona Mendoza, Carlos Jose Espinoza Gonzalez, Jorge Romero Garcia, Layza Alejandrina Arizmendi Galaviz, Enrique Ibarra Laclette, Eva Garcia Ilizaliturri

Patent number: 10362788Abstract: Two new Helicoverpa armigera single nucleopolyhedrovirus genotypes, HearSNPV, HearSNPV-SP1B and HearSNPV-LB6, each originating from mixtures of genotypes obtained from different locations and crops, are described. Each exhibits specific insecticidal activity against H. armigera larvae comparable to that of commonly used commercial insecticides. Further, mixing the two genotypes, especially in the ratio of 1:1, within co-occluded virions of the mixed genotypes, is capable of controlling H. armigera infestations of tomato crops and is as efficacious as commonly used chemical and biological insecticides. Their use as bioinsecticides is safe for vertebrates, in that they specifically target arthropods. In addition, they are easy to produce and good yields can be obtained by orally inoculating H. armigera larvae with HearSNPV occlusion bodies.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2015Date of Patent: July 30, 2019Assignees: UNIVERSIDAD PÚBLICA DE NAVARRA, CONSEJO SUPERIOR DE INVESTIGACIONES CIENTÍFICAS (CSIC), INSTITUTO DE ECOLOGÍA, A.C.Inventors: Maite Arrizubieta, Oihane Simón, Primitivo Caballero Murillo, Trevor Williams

Patent number: 10301602Abstract: Production of virus occlusion bodies that occlude virions comprising genomes of different species of baculoviruses that can be used to combat insect pests. A method is presented for the production of occlusion derived virions (ODVs) that simultaneously comprise genomes of different baculovirus species, occluded in a viral occlusion body (OB) with the structural and morphological features characteristic of baculoviruses. Mixed genome ODVs and OBs can be produced by co-infecting insect cells or insect hosts using two or more different baculoviruses species. Co-infection may be achieved by simultaneous inoculation of the different baculoviruses or with a time interval between inoculations, which results in different proportions of each species' genomes in the ODVs and OBs that are produced. The produced OBs can be used either directly for preparing an insecticide, or to infect susceptible insects to produce larger quantities of mixed genome ODVs and OBs, also useful for combating pest insects.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2013Date of Patent: May 28, 2019Assignees: UNIVERSIDAD PÚBLICA DE NAVARRA, CONSEJO SUPERIOR DE INVESTIGACIONES CIENTÍFICAS, INSTITUTO DE ECOLOGÍA, A.C., ASSOCIATION POUR LA RECHERCHE ET LE DEVELOPPEMENT DES METHODES ET PROCESSUS INDUSTRIELS (ARMINES)Inventors: Primitivo Caballero Murillo, Inés Beperet Arive, Oihane Simón De Goñi, Trevor Williams, Miguel Lopez-Ferber
