The application of modifiers in the form of so-called “nano-particles” in intumescent systems improves the efficiency fire retardancy and the effectiveness of the system's thermal insulation. The high dispersion of particles influences the decomposition of intumescent systems and the combustion process. Therefore, the structure and thermal resistance of the carbon layer formed are improved.
