Patents Assigned to Integrated Pool Products (Pty)
  • Patent number: 10626631
Abstract: The invention relates to a pool cleaner. Rotation from a turbine is transmitted to a first wheel that is forwardly driven. A second wheel is switched between corresponding forward rotation and rearward rotation. An axle of the first wheel rotatably supports a sleeve that carries the second wheel. The reverse transmission is effected by a double-sided dog clutch member slidably supported between a pair of clutch gears freely rotatable on a rotating lay shaft. A first clutch gear is connected for reverse rotation and a second clutch gear for forward rotation of the sleeve. A switching mechanism includes a movably mounted lever arm engaging the double-sided clutch member with a cam follower engaging a cam formation carried on an independently supported control gear connected to the turbine and in mesh with a worm gear on the lay shaft.

  • Patent number: 8117704
Abstract: The invention relates to a swimming pool cleaner with wheels driven by a turbine. The pool cleaner is intermittently turned from its path of travel along an underwater surface. A turning cam is provided inwardly of and adjacent to each of a pair of the side wheels. The cams are rotatably mounted on the turbine driven wheel axle which extends between said wheels. Each cam intermittently extends a gripping formation beyond the operatively supporting surface of the adjacent wheel. The cams will preferably comprise a disc with an integral annular internal ring gear formed. An inner gear is fixed for rotation with the axle and an outer gear is supported between the inner gear and the ring gear to rotate the cam. The inner gear is an interrupted gear member to cause intermittent stepwise rotation of the ring gear and the outer gear is a sprocket supported for unidirectional rotation.

  • Patent number: 6391167
Abstract: A water chlorinator comprises a housing having in-line inlet and outlet openings and a removable cover. The cover supports two electrode terminals which are spaced apart and have corresponding rods extending therefrom through concentric anode and cathode discs. Alternate discs are electrically connected to each rod. The power supply is a DC supply which includes an input bridge connected to a buck convertor and an output relay arranged to switch the output from the convertor to the electrodes of the chlorinator.
