  • Patent number: 9765564
Abstract: Method and Apparatus for fabricating a spacer frame for use in an insulating glass unit. One of a multiple number of possible spacer frame materials is chosen for the spacer frame. An elongated strip of the material is moved to a notching station where notches are formed at corner locations. The character of the notches is adjusted based on the selection of the metal strip material and more particularly to achieve bending of the material in an repeatable, straightforward manner. Downstream from the notching station the metal strip is bent into a channel shaped elongated frame member having side walls. Further downstream a leading strip of channel shaped material is severed or separated front succeeding material still passing through the notching and bending station.

  • Patent number: 9747611
Abstract: Provided are computer-implemented techniques for determining a probability of selling an (F&I) automotive commodity associated with a vehicle of interest to a consumer. Individual consumer data about the consumer interested in acquiring a vehicle is retrieved using an electronic interview. Dealer management system (DMS) data is retrieved and includes transactional data relating to automotive commodities. Group consumer data is retrieved about other consumers who have previously purchased the vehicle of interest, vehicles similar to the vehicle of interest, or automotive commodities associated with the vehicle of interest. Consumer resource data is retrieved from an online consumer resource. Deal data indicative of transactional terms is retrieved. The techniques predicatively analyze the retrieved data and compute a probability of selling at least one of the automotive commodities to the consumer based on predictive analysis.

  • Patent number: 9534439
Abstract: An insulating glass unit (IGU) assembly line apparatus capable of interleaving double and triple pane IGUs in accordance with an IGU production schedule. Visual indicators or prompts instruct operators at the assembly line in configuring a sequence of IGUs. Triple pane IGUs are assembled with minimal contamination of a center glass lite. A non-contact Bernoulli pad is used to lift a glass lite off from a horizontal or vertical support that conveys it from a glass washer to an assembly station. Each of multiple pads has a capacity to lift approximately seven to ten pounds. Use of multiple pads per glass sheet or lite allows lites having dimensions up to 70 by 100 inches (assuming glass thickness of one quarter inch) to be assembled.
