Patents Assigned to Intella Interventional Systems
  • Patent number: 6083205
Abstract: The present invention relates to a multiple valve single port manifold for use with a multiple lumen catheter. The inventive manifolds comprise a conduit with an entry port; a plurality of means for connecting the conduit to a plurality of catheter lumens, such that each lumen is capable of being in fluid communication with the entry port; and a plurality of means for controlling access from the conduit to the plurality of catheter lumens, such that each controlling means independently regulates access from the conduit to its corresponding catheter lumen. Because each catheter lumen is independently accessible from the same manifold port, the inventive devices are useful in any medical context where a need exists to independently control access to spatially proximal sites within a patient's passageway.

  • Patent number: 5938623
Abstract: Guide wire for use in a medical procedure and for use with a power supply comprising a solid core wire having proximal and distal extremities. The proximal extremity has a predetermined diameter. At least a portion of the distal extremity has a reduced size with respect to the predetermined diameter. A flexible coil is secured to the distal extremity of the core wire and extends over the portion of the core wire having a reduced size. An actuator member is disposed proximal of the coil and extends along the core wire. Electrical conductors extend from the proximal extremity of the core wire to the actuator member for supplying heat to the actuator member. The actuator member is formed of a temperature activated metal alloy having a Young's modulus of 4.times.10.sup.6 to 14.times.10.sup.6 psi which increases in stiffness when heat is supplied thereto to increase the stiffness of the guide wire proximally of the coil.

  • Patent number: 5626593
Abstract: A flexible elongate device including a flexible elongate tubular member having proximal and distal extremities. A flexible coil spring is provided having proximal and distal extremities. The proximal extremity of the coil spring is secured to the distal extremity of the flexible elongate tubular member. A rounded tip is secured to the distal extremity of the coil spring. A flexible elongate element having proximal and distal extremities is disposed within said coil spring and extends longitudinally of the coil spring. The distal extremity of the flexible elongate element is secured to the rounded tip. A vibrator is secured to the proximal extremity of the flexible elongate element for imparting vibratory motion to the flexible elongate element to cause vibratory impact motion of the rounded tip in a direction longitudinal of the axis of the flexible elongate element.
