Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling access to a dataset management system using quotas are provided. For example, a request to perform an action in a dataset management system may be obtained from an entity, and a quota record associated with the entity may be selected. Further, it may be determined if the entity has sufficient quota to perform the action. In some examples, when the entity has sufficient quota to perform the action, the request may be allowed. In some examples, when the entity has insufficient quota to perform the action, the request may be denied.

  • Patent number: 10453197
Abstract: This disclosure relates to improved techniques for performing computer vision functions including common object counting and instance segmentation. The techniques described herein utilize a neural network architecture to perform these functions. The neural network architecture can be trained using image-level supervision techniques that utilize a loss function to jointly train an image classification branch and a density branch of the neural network architecture. The neural network architecture constructs per-category density maps that can be used to generate analysis information comprising global object counts and locations of objects in images.

  • Patent number: 10297070
Abstract: This disclosure relates to improved techniques for synthesizing three-dimensional (3D) scenes. The techniques can utilize a neural network architecture to analyze images for detecting objects, classifying scenes and objects, and determining degree of freedom information for objects in the images. These tasks can be performed by, at least in part, using inter-object and object-scene dependency information that captures the spatial correlations and dependencies among objects in the images, as well as the correlations and relationships of objects to scenes associated with the images. 3D scenes corresponding to the images can then be synthesized using the inferences provided by the neural network architecture.

  • Patent number: 9524558
Abstract: A method is provided, suitable for use in extraction of foreground objects from image stream. The method comprises: providing input image data of a region of interest, providing background model of said region of interest, and utilizing said background model for processing each image of the input image data. The processing comprises: determining a background gradient map for pixels in said background model and an image gradient map for pixels in the image; defining a predetermined number of one or more segments in said image and corresponding one or more segments in the background model; determining, for each image segment, an edge density factor is a first relation between the image and background gradient maps for said segment; and calculating foreground detection threshold based on said certain relation, thereby enabling use of said foreground detection threshold for classifying each pixel in the segment as being a foreground or background pixel.

  • Publication number: 20160293168
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method of setting personal wake-up word by text for voice control, which enables an electronic device to execute the steps of activating an wake-up-word set program; receiving a set message transmitted from an input unit; parsing a first text information contained in the set message and including at least one character; storing the at least one character as a personal wake-up word; and setting the personal wake-up word as a voice command for activating the voice control program when the at least one character is determined to exist in content of a voice database. Thus, a user can customize the personal wake-up word simply and quickly by inputting the text through the input unit to generate the set message, and later speak a voice corresponding to the personal wake-up word to activate the voice control program for voice control of the electronic device.

Abstract: A gripper and wrist joint assembly for a robotic arm. The gripper comprises a pair of identical jams connected by a pivot and including V-sections for holding large objects and end-mounted pivotal tips for holding small and flat sided objects. The jaws are opened and closed by rotation of a screw-threaded rod having screw threaded connections with the jaws, the axis of the rod being fixed and the pivot pins being guided with linear displacement during adjustment of jaws so that they are maintained central within the gripper housing. The wrist includes a pair of spiroid level gears driven by respective spiroid pinions and each meshing with an output bevel gear carried on a shaft equipped with an adjustment nut for engaging the bevel gears into firm engagement and enabling backlash to be eliminated.
