  • Patent number: 8179263
Abstract: The present invention aims to overcome the drawback with conventional RFID tag devices having a short communication range, and expand the communication range to several times or more that in the conventional scheme. The conventional scheme is based on equilibrium feeding/equilibrium modulation (a two-terminal circuit for antenna operation), whereas the present invention is based on disequilibrium feeding/equilibrium modulation (a three-terminal circuit for antenna operation). The conventional scheme is based on simple rectification of received RF signals, whereas the present invention employs a circuit based on a combination of a stub resonance-based, impedance transformation boosting scheme and a ladder boosting scheme. The conventional scheme is based on ASK or BPSK modulation, whereas the present invention is based on passive modulation, but can employ a QPSK modulation circuit.

  • Patent number: 7903748
Abstract: A communication technology for allowing a mobile communication system to accommodate variable rate users, while obtaining a frequency diversity effect. A transmitter apparatus using, for transmission, transmission signals produced based on data symbols of a predetermined transmission method, comprising an FFT processing part for converting the data symbols to frequency domain data; an interleaver for sorting the frequency domain data; and an IFFT processing part for converting the sorted frequency domain data to a time domain signal; wherein the FFT processing part subjects Q received data symbols to Q-point FFT processing, the interleaver produces N data from Q data outputted from the FFT processing part (where N>Q), and the IFFT processing part subjects the N data outputted from the interleaver to N-point IFFT processing.

  • Patent number: 7561013
Abstract: An LSE mode, which is a parasitic mode, can be effectively suppressed by a simple structure, and a reduction in size and weight can be thereby facilitated. Further, a metal body 3 is arranged in the vicinity of a dielectric waveguide 1 of an NRD guide to suppress the LSE mode, the NRD guide being configured to propagate electromagnetic waves through the dielectric waveguide 1 which is sandwiched between parallel conductor plates with a gap of less than a ½ wavelength. This metal body 3 has an arbitrary shape, and may have a discoid shape, an elliptic shape or a prismatic shape. Furthermore, an even distance d is maintained between the metal body 3 and the dielectric waveguide 1, and a phase constant difference can be suppressed by changing this distance d.

  • Patent number: 7541886
Abstract: In order to realize with a low loss a hybrid structure in which an NRD guide is used for a transmission part and a microstrip line is used for a circuit element loading part, the present device includes: a dielectric waveguide (1) which is sandwiched between parallel conductor plates and has a gap which is less than a ½ wavelength; a microstrip line (4) which is provided on a side surface of a metal rod (3) opposite to the dielectric waveguide (1), the metal rod (3) being adjacently arranged in parallel with the dielectric waveguide (1); and a coaxial line (5) which pierces the metal rod (3) and connects the dielectric waveguide (1) with the microstrip line (4).
