  • Patent number: 4611943
Abstract: A connector for assembling two furniture parts such as a tabletop and an associated table leg. The connector comprises a screw provided with a head and a relatively long shaft and a bushing with outer holding means and a through hole. The bushing is pivotally mounted on a smooth part of the shaft and is axially fixed as one terminal surface thereof abuts the head of the screw and the opposite terminal surface thereof optionally abuts a locking means projecting from the shaft. One of the terminal surfaces of the bushing comprises a contact knob delimiting the turning of the bushing relative to the screw to an angle less than 350.degree. when it abuts a stop projection projecting from the screw. When a table leg and a tabletop are to be assembled the bushing is initially turned into a hole in the table leg by means of a mounting tool.

  • Patent number: 4599841
Abstract: A panel structure comprising boards and for instance serving as a floor or a panel, the boards being arranged on the same plane edge to edge. The boards are held together two by two by means of a joining moulding of a substantially T-shaped cross section. The transverse web of the joining moulding is provided with a plurality of holding teeth to both sides of the vertical web of said moulding. Each half of the transverse web projects into its longitudinal locking, relatively deep, and substantially smooth groove in a board. The width of the groove is slightly smaller than the thickness of said transverse web. The joining moulding is of a relatively soft material such as plastics or rubber. In this manner the panel structure is so simple to mount that the mounting can be carried out by unskilled persons. Without damaging the panel structure, the boards may work relative to each other when exposed to variations in air moisture and/or temperature.

  • Patent number: 4583392
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for reproducibly testing the resistance to wear and change in appearance as well as the soil resistance of construction units (4) in full size within the furniture field with associated environments, the construction unit (4) or parts thereof in its full construction being positioned secured on the inner side of a rotatable large drum (1) and subjected to stresses from various stress members (5) located in the drum (1). These stress members are activated by the rotation of the drum. The stress members (5) may for instance be leather balls (5) filled with water or sand and optionally provided with a facing of wearing members (15) of textile materials or another wearing material such as for instance emery cloth, whereafter the number of rotations of the drum are registered and compared with changes arising through natural use.

  • Patent number: 4548295
Abstract: A counter system comprising at least one counter and a plurality of shopping carts. The counter includes a cashier's section and a conveyor band for articles and assists in defining a passage for the carts to move past the cashier's section. The counter further has a receiving section having a height from the floor slightly greater than the loading surface of the carts from the floor and the passage has a width smaller than the shopping carts so that a cart can move in the passage only when it is perpendicular to the passage and its loading surface extends below the receiving section whereby the receiving section removes any articles present on the loading surface of the cart when it passes the system.
