Abstract: First and second resilient deformable spheres each have a pattern such as dots or a grid of lines projected or printed/deposited onto their inner surfaces, a camera positioned to image the pattern. When the spheres are deformed, the patterns are distorted. Distortions in the patterns are mapped to input signals to a computer simulation or other computer program. The spheres may each be attached to respective ends of a hollow tube also bearing the pattern such that not only can the spheres be squeezed, but the assembly also can be twisted to deform the pattern in the tube for further correlation to input signals.

Abstract: A method for graphics processing, wherein a graphics processing unit (GPU) resource is allocated among applications, such that each application is allocated a set of time slices. Commands of draw calls are loaded to rendering command buffers in order to render an image frame for a first application. The commands are processed by the GPU resource within a first time slice allocated to the first application. The method including determining at least one command has not been executed at an end of the first time slice. The method including halting execution of commands, wherein remaining one or more commands are not processed in the first time slice. A GPU configuration is preserved for the commands after processing a last executed command, the GPU configuration used when processing in a second time slice the remaining commands.

Abstract: On-demand data is provided for real-time exercise experience including identifying available classes, receiving exercise class selection, retrieving associated leaderboard data, decompressing leaderboard data, and delivering exercise class content including leaderboard data to an exercise apparatus. Systems and methods further include receiving a class end condition, gathering data from the selected exercise class, compressing the gathered data, and appending the compressed data to stored leaderboard data. Compressing includes sampling a points from each user's workout through a recursive process including identifying a first point, last point and at least one mid-point of the workout, and for each successive pair of sampled points, identifying a mid-point that is furthest away from a line segment between the pair of sampled points, and adding the mid-point to the plurality of points if a distance between the mid-point and the line segment is greater than a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: Methods and systems for spectating a live video game are presented. In one method embodiment, an operation includes providing an interface for presenting an overhead view of an interactive environment of a video game on a head mounted display (HMD). The method also provides an operation for providing a magnifying window for displaying a magnified view of the interactive environment, where the magnified view is associated with a second vantage point that is closer to the interactive environment than is a first vantage point of the overhead view. The method further provides an operation for tracking a real-world position of a controller of the spectator and moving the location of the magnifying window to correspond to the real-world position of the controller.

Abstract: Adaptive modification and presentment of user interface elements in a computerized therapeutic treatment regimen. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for non-linear computational analysis of cData and nData derived from user interactions with a mobile electronic device executing an instance of a computerized therapeutic treatment regimen. The cData and nData may be computed according to one or more artificial neural network or deep learning technique to derive patterns between computerized stimuli or interactions and sensor data. Patterns derived from analysis of the cData and nData may be used to define an effort metric associated with user input patterns in response to the computerized stimuli or interactions being indicative of a measure of user engagement or effort. A computational model or rules engine may be applied to adapt, modify, configure or present one or more graphical user interface elements in a subsequent instance of the computerized therapeutic treatment regimen.

Abstract: Techniques for better information sharing and control switching in a graphical user interface (GUI) are described. In an example, windows are added to a dynamic area of a menu based on an execution of a menu application. The menu is presented in the GUI and each window is shown in a first state to provide quick information about the corresponding application. Upon a user selection of the window, the window is presented in a second state. Based on the window being in the second state, an application module is updated to present an overlay window reproducing the window in the second state. The overlay window is presented coextensive with and over the window in the second state.

The method includes receiving a user input from a hand-held controller and determining whether one or more basic blocks of code for servicing the user input are stored in a cache. The method further includes compiling the one or more basic blocks of code from one or more emulated processing unit (PU) code instructions upon determining that the one or more basic blocks are not stored in the cache. The method includes executing the one or more basic blocks of code to generate one or more legacy graphical parameters. The method includes emulating the one or more legacy graphical parameters to generate one or more image frames having one or more updated graphical parameters for display of one or more images of the legacy game on a display device.
