Abstract: A programmable and controllable moving fence system for handling livestock capable of controlling the movement of a livestock on a feeding pasture lot for controlling and optimizing the pasture consuming during the feeding of the livestock, wherein the system comprises a boundary fence encircling the lot and a moving fence crossing the lot and separating the lot into two lot portions, one portion containing the livestock and the other portion containing the pasture, with the lot portion having the pasture being controllably exposed to the livestock for feeding.
