Patents Assigned to Interlego AG
  • Patent number: 6000984
Abstract: The element to be protected hereby is an element consisting of a pull string (2), chain, wire or the like having at each end a coupling device (3) which may be coupled onto a coupling stud (6). The element is characterised in that the string (2), the chain, etc., is mounted so high on the coupling device (3) that a momentum influences the coupling device (3) that twists the coupling device (3) off the coupling stud (6) despite the frictional force therebetween when the element is pulled.

  • Patent number: 5984756
Abstract: The invention relates to a toy construction system comprising building elements of a first type having a pair of opposed walls that define a space between said opposed walls, wherein the space has, at the free edges of the opposed walls, an open end and two opposed open sides, and wherein those sides of the walls that face towards the space are provided with protrusions, and building elements of a second type having a coupling head that may, by snap-fit with the protrusions, be received and releasably secured in the space between the walls on a building element of the first type. The toy construction system is characterised in that the protrusions are situated at the free edges of the walls.

  • Patent number: 5964635
Abstract: The present invention relates to a toy construction system comprising building elements of a first type that has a pair of opposed walls that define a space between said opposed walls, wherein those sides of the walls that face towards the space are provided with protruding ribs, and building elements of a second type that have a coupling head which may, by a snap-effect with protruding ribs, be received and releasably secured in the space between the walls on a building element of the first type, wherein said system further comprises building elements of a third type with coupling studs, wherein building elements of the first type or the second type have a cavity for releasably receiving and securing coupling studs on building elements of the third type.

  • Patent number: 5961364
Abstract: A building set for a toy building comprising a number of building module frames (1,1a,1b,2) and a plurality of fittings (10,17,18), and wherein each of the building module frames (1,1a,1b,2) comprises a bottom plate (3,4,19) with a superstructure that defines the walls and ceiling of the building module frame (1,1a,1b,2), and wherein each bottom plate (3,4,19) is provided with coupling means (12) for interconnecting adjoining building module frames (1,1a,1b,2). By arranging the coupling means (12) on the top surface of the bottom plate (3,4,19) and by arranging the coupling means (12) to be releasably interconnected with complementary coupling means (11) on the underside of the fittings (10,17,18), a stable and secure coupling is obtained that possesses much holding force without much force being required to interconnect the building module frames.

  • Patent number: 5962839
Abstract: A programmable apparatus for selectively reading machine readable codes, such as bar codes in a user defined sequence. Each code represents an action to be performed by the apparatus. In the apparatus, data representing read codes are generated and stored in a memory. A plurality of such data representing a user defined sequence of actions may be stored. Upon reading stored data, the apparatus can execute corresponding actions in the user defined sequence. Actions to be performed by the apparatus can include: starting, reversing and stopping of an electric motor; increasing and decreasing its number of revolutions; playing tones for generating melodies; and simulating everyday life sounds, such as the sound of a truck engine. The apparatus may be placed in a toy car or truck, in which it senses a tacho disc and synthesizes the sound of the truck's engine with a simulated number of revolutions corresponding to the speed with which the truck is driven.

  • Patent number: 5957139
Abstract: Threads of hair are embroidered in loops on a flat, flexible base, for example, a textile base, in an area bounded by a desired wig contour. Individual threads or tufted multiple threads are embroidered in loops. Thereafter, the embroidered area is removed from the base along with the wig contour by cutting or punching. The flexible wig is glued onto a doll's head, cut to length and combed.

  • Patent number: 5952932
Abstract: A method of communication between a master unit and a slave unit, including the steps of: sending at least a command byte from the master unit to the slave unit including data byte counter bits to be interpreted by the slave unit according to the following rule set; if said data byte counter bits belong to a first set, then said data byte counter bits contain information representing a number of associated data bytes, which is the expected number of data bytes; if said data byte counter bits belong to a second set, then said data byte counter bits contain information representing a number which must be decoded before the expected number of data bytes is obtained; receiving at least the command byte; interpreting the command byte; and receiving the number of data bytes required by the rule set.
