Abstract: In a method for fabricating a field-effect transistor (FET) structure, forming a shallow trench isolation (STI) structure on a semiconductor substrate, wherein the STI structure includes dielectric structures that form one or more dielectric walled aspect ratio trapping (ART) trenches. The method further includes epitaxially growing a first semiconductor material on the semiconductor substrate and substantially filling at least one of the one or more ART trenches, and recessing the first semiconductor material down into the ART trenches selective to the dielectric structures, such that the upper surface of the first semiconductor material is below the upper surface of the dielectric structures.

Abstract: Processing posted receive commands in a parallel computer, including: posting, by a parallel process of a compute node, a receive command, the receive command including a set of parameters excluding the receive command from being directed among parallel posted receive queues; flattening the parallel unexpected message queues into a single unexpected message queue; determining whether the posted receive command is satisfied by an entry in the single unexpected message queue; if the posted receive command is satisfied by an entry in the single unexpected message queue, processing the posted receive command; if the posted receive command is not satisfied by an entry in the single unexpected message queue: flattening the parallel posted receive queues into a single posted receive queue; and storing the posted receive command in the single posted receive queue.

Abstract: A method and system for controlling distant equipment. A passive radio frequency identification (RFID) tag within a Programmable Secure Remote Controller (PSRC) receives a radio frequency (RF) signal from a transmitter integrated in the distant equipment. The distant equipment is external to and remote from the PSRC. The PRSC does not include an internal source of energy and requires energy from an external source to operate. The PSRC is configured to distribute sufficient energy from the RF signal to components of the PSRC to enable the components to operate. The RFID tag is activated to generate information and the information is decoded to identify the distant equipment. A request to perform an operation that controls the distant equipment is received. After the request is received, a first predefined scenario is activated for performing the operation that controls the distant equipment.

Abstract: An illustrative embodiment of a computer-implemented method for maintaining a product offering suite, identifies a subset of proposals from a proposal database maintained on a data processing system, using selected criteria stored on the data processing system, analyzes the subset of proposals using conformance criteria also stored on the data processing system to form an analyzed subset of proposals, and identifies a set of alert instances from the analyzed subset of proposals. The computer-implemented method further updates the product offering suite on the data processing system using information using the set of alert instances.
